You can still come across some Valk riders from time to time that have not heard of the VRCC. That was the case when Tom, David, HD Fred, and I stopped in at McKinnon Honda, the new owners of the Tyler Honda shop. Tom had to be thinking how inconvenient if was going to be trying to start his bike w/o our manly assistance. Yes, the heat got his oem battery while we were out today.

Good to meet you, Les! There are some good Valk folks in and around the Tyler area. ~Jeff

No FORRECCO, the cream parts of his bike look fine, he just needs to get rid of the silly red and replace it with blue......and hair....we do need no stink'n hair.....

Yes, Welcome Les.  Good to meet you yesterday.

Looking back, my first clue was when we pulled into the parking lot and I parked in the space next to where Les was standing.  He, looked at us and said, "Man, those are some nice Valkyries..."

Once inside, as we stood in line behind Tom & Jeff at the service desk and started chatting, I learned he used to have a Wing, an IS, and his Tourer simultaneously.  He sold off the Wing and IS, and kept the Tourer.  He was there to pick it up after a minor, low-speed mishap caused enough damage that his insurance company wanted to total the bike.  He said, "You're not going to total my Valkyrie.  They don't make them anymore."  Way to go, Les!

Hope to ride with you sometime.  Maybe next time we're in the neighborhood we can eat some ribs at the Country Tavern.

And JC, just think how pretty your bike would be with some yellow on it. Wink  I've given up on the hair thing.
