STATESVILLE, N.C. (AP) NASCAR driver Kyle Busch was clocked by a North Carolina sheriff's deputy going 128 mph in a 45 mph zone and was cited for careless and reckless driving and speeding, a law enforcement spokesman said Tuesday.

Iredell County Sheriff's Office Capt. Darren Campbell said a deputy stopped Busch's 2012 yellow Lexus sports car on a road between Troutman and Mooresville, where the 26-year-old driver lives. It's about 30 miles north of Charlotte.

Kyle Busch,,,,,,the only driver that is still actually racing in Nascar.

Instead of being gentlemanly like Mr. Five TIme.

He will hit you on the track and then admit it.

Just like my all time hero Dale Earnhardt. No not the kid.

IMHO Kyle Busch is an a-hole.
He'll find a way to blame it on someone else.

]But he can drive a race car.

Yes Kyle is an a-hole,no doubt. The problem is NASCAR needs a few more guys like him. I can't stand Jimmy Johnson, I'd rather LISTEN to paint dry than watch him race. Lets see Mr. five time win a truck race, a Nationwide race and a Cup race all in the same weekend. Kyle will race anything, anywhere and more than likely beat everyone doing it. The guy can flat out DRIVE. He'll put his own brother in to the wall! When Dale Sr.died, I told my wife NASCAR would never be the same, and it hasn't been. I'm a Tony Stewart fan, but I liked him better when he was driving for Joe Gibbs, he didn't shave for a week,he growled at the media, and he hit people on the track. I thought he had a little Dale Sr. in him. I liked that. Now, he is a team owner and very PC, he has to be to keep his sponsers happy. But Smoke is now BORING to watch, just another guy turning left. For all of that, I like to watch Kyle, all the dude wants to do is win, all the time . Can't fault him for that, thats what he gets paid to do. No one wants to see that 18 car in their mirrors as the laps wind down, for that he is a little like Senior, no one wanted to see the 3 car back there either. Yeah he whines, but to some extent, they all do. If you want to hear the king of whiniing, listen to Jeff Gordon, if you can stand it.

Maybe this needs to become Kyle's anthem:

Dierks Bentley - What Was I Thinkin'powered by Aeva

Jokes aside, Kyle Bush's personality leaves "ALOT" to be desired, but than little son of a gun SURE can drive.

Yuppers-the man (he ain't a boy no more) can handle a race vehicle. I've watched him on the tube-seen him do stuff and then i ask-how in the &ell did he do that?? Seeing it in slow motion did not answer the question. A lot of us have exceeded the speed limit-some of us to the extent that he has. I have pushed the limits of a polite society more than once. The difference-he is Kyle Bush-i'm not and neither are you. You and i will make the LOCAL paper in the police report. His on the other hand goes national. All that being said I M H O 128mph in a 45mph zone is under the best of circumstances-pushing it. When i exceed triple digits i try to pick (very carefully) light to (even better) no traffic and for sure not in a 45mph zone. Where i live i have access to smooth 4 lane not heavily traveled-compared to some areas of the country. Was he wrong-yes. Will he do it again-probably. Will i exceed triple digits on my valk again?? Do you really have to ask? uglystupid2 Got a feeling he knew he was wrong when he did it-but i don't know fer sure. I ain't no mind reader. RIDE SAFE.

Anyone want to place a bet?

I say he will get off for less than $300 and no notches on his license.

He will spend about $9,000 for an attorney to get his citation reduced to a parking citation or something along that line.

When I worked Orange County and LA proper, I saw it happen so many times, I'd pull them over, eat their butt out for about 10 minutes or more to just make them that much later for their appointment and then follow them to make sure they honored the speed limits, red lights and went where they said they were going.

Had one gal tell me she had this very important appointment, chewed on her, followed at a distance to the location she told me, she went in the door, looked out, didn't see me and came right back out.   Followed her to a Brothel, where she worked.   Yeah, she got arrested and did 30 days.

I always tried to be fair with anyone, even the belligerent ones.   Back then we carried a sap, yeah, I used it on a few hard heads.    If I ever pulled them over again, they never got belligerent with me.    LOL.

Had some friends just before i went into the service had a misunderstanding with some of Chicagos finest-late 1963 early 1964. Just wonderin. Not picking at you-just wondering. T I A. RIDE SAFE.

Actually, it was an attitude adjuster.

One good solid slap and it adjusted 99% of the bad attitudes.

Also made them easier to cuff and stuff.

HAHA R.J. I have a short story for you.
I was having lunch and sitting by the window. A car going by had a tie-rod let go and went into a parked car. Backed up and didit a few more times. Short of it was the Coplady probably just made the height minimum and when drunk broken car driver guy got lippy she folded him up like a suitcase and crammed him in the back-o-the car.  The restraunt erupted in applause and the lady actually took a bow. It was fantastic. 1983 ish, San Diego.

And today r j you'd probably be thrown off the force and into the clink before you could catch a breath. Growing up we had a lot of respect for the law and some(not un warrented) fear of them also. Could be a lot of the reason (parents included) i never did any hard time. Few overnighters after to much partying But that was mostly self induced. To say the L E Os have it rough today-big big understatement.      Again-at the risk of repeating my self-the times they are achanging. RIDE SAFE.

Dunno which Lexus it was that he was driving, but Toyota/Lexus know how to go fast.

I can't believe anybody still watches NASCAR. I gave up on it after R. Petty, Ned Jarret, Cale Yarborough, Leroy Yarbrough and others from that era left the sport.
