wheeeeeen you gotta go YOU gotta GO!
Definitely true.
Believe me, the postal service has been crying and screaming about revenue being down, due to email, online banking, online IRS filings, etc, etc. It's true, the mail volume is WAY down. Plus, they are the ONLY agency, forced to pre-pay ALL their retiree benefits, etc. To the tune of 6-8 billion a year. Otherwise they would be in the black. They are doing everything they can, to cut expenses. Contrary to what the "privatize the Postal Service" advocates say, the post office gets NO, AS IN NONE, assistance from the taxpayer. They are CONSTANTLY riding the carriers, to cut corners, and the carriers now scan barcodes all over their route, to prove they haven't deviated for any reason. And, they are watched a lot, as well as questioned endlessly, if their route takes a few minutes longer today, than yesterday. If this carrier hadn't been seen, NOone would have been the wiser. He just got caught. I would be there are very few of us, here, that haven't taken a leak someplace other than a toilet or urinal...
I used to keep empty cups ad lids in the back of my LLV (that's a mail truck - Long Life Vehicle), just to avoid driving miles to find a restroom. I'm glad I ended up working inside, instead of carrying the mail, 13 years ago - I wouldn't be with the Postal Service today if I hadn't - I wouldn't have been able to take the crap they put the carriers through.
