You know.........He reeeely dont want to sell it.  I think Id have to put a price like that on it too.  If someone did buy it, youd have a tad bit less regret.  Beautiful Bike.  Makes me want one like that but not for 15K

Ya'll be surprised how many people last year didn't let me test ride. I was told more than a couple of times-buy it than test ride it. RIDE SAFE.

I guess I can see the point, you don't want somebody wrecking your bike and you can't tell who sucks and who doesn't.. but if I'm buying a 15k bike, I'm riding it first. Even if it's just a parking lot.

I remember the last time I sold a bike.  I could always tell who wasnt really a rider....they would always ask "so, is it one down and 4 or 5 up"  if you have to ask that my next words are please get off the bike.  I ended up giving him a ride on the back seat and he bought it

With that pricing "strategy," he's going to own that bike for a long, long time, but you have to admit that the CB750 is an extremely photogenic bike; brings back some great memories, and that is probably the finest example I've seen in original condition.

That 15K Bumblebee is back on ebay again. He's down to $14,500. With 0 feedback.

I dunno - on MY monitor, there sure looks like a LOT of corrosion, not only on the valve cover, but the gas cap, as well...

You are correct... there is some corrosion and more than likely the product of being in that location (coastal salt air and humidity ?).   However, considering the location and for the age of the bike, it's not bad at all.  I also noticed that they didn't do the recall on the fuel tank latch yet.... its still out there and can be done at the dealer.  I have to take my CL350 in for that latch replacement as well... the part is in, I just have to drive it there some day it isn't raining....    Sad

If you had a rare collector bike For Sale would you really let someone test ride it ????  What happens when the dude comes back and say's "gee, I dumped it, sorry 'bout that" .... who's gonna pay for the damages and where would you get the parts ??.... especially that ultra rare exhaust system. Nope, if it were mine I would do the same .. NO TEST RIDE.

One common practice is to make agreement with buyer .... if after a (insert time allotted) and AFTER cash in hand your not satisfied and bike hasn't been wrecked he gets his money back.

If he took the 1 off the front of the price he would be about right.  If it was a first year 69 with the sand cast cases in that condition, he would still be a little high! Nice, though.  Shocked  hoser

Ummmm, I'm drooling. I bought a '69 in '69 while living in Houston. It was stolen three times within six months! The third time the frame was found in a field. I paid around $1,695 with a fiberglass fairing and hard bags. The insurance didn't cover the accessories so I netted around $1,000. Bummer. I bought a used Suzuki Titan 500 twin after that and no one ever touched it. I never did finish my love affair with that 750 but I'd rather have two more Valkyries for that kind of $$.

As far as the test ride thing goes...When I went over to look at the 97 standard that I bought, which was local, I rode over on my Goldwing, full gear on. Guy walks out looks at me and tosses me the keys to the Valkyrie and said I guess you can ride, take it for a spin. Might not have happened that way had I driven over there.

To me it looks like a cleaned up barn bike and it is showing it's age from the salt air. The paint is too clean for that year of bike. If it is what he claims, the bike would bring about $8,000.00 for a 72 750four yes he said the bike was built in 1971 but on or after September it would be a 1972

IF ANYONE is in the market for an old CB750four's , GL1000's, Magna's, or old style  V MAX's ............ I have a friend in Miami that has about 35 bikes for sale because of health reasons. Let me know I will send you the contact number.... he is also selling "Mr.OLD SKOOL's" CBX which is in mint cond.
