You know, how can the dealer employee a technician that can't mount a tire without damaging the rim. I noticed when putiing the rear back together after service, I went to wipe everything down. I caught a burr on the edge of the rear wheel. I ran my finger around the wheel and almost 1/2 the wheel is scored around the lip where the "tech" did not have the wheel machine set properly. I took the bike to the dealer and showed the Service director. He said "hmmm", that doesn't usually happen. He said "sorry, I can give you a break on future service", I looked at him & said "do you think I will bring my bike here after this tire incident"?  What a joke.

The proper remedy is to either repair or replace the wheel.  You need to talk to the owner of the dealership.

I'd say a new rim, get reimbursed for the mounting.  Raise Hell with the owner and threaten to take it to either the news media or BBB.  Thats BS, plain and simple.  tickedoff

The best customer service related thing I ever saw.
"I need to speak to the manager".
"I'm the manager".
"I need to talk to your manager".
"I can take care of your problem".
"I need to talk to your manager".

And, don't accept "no" from anyone who does not have the capacity or authority to say "yes".

That sucks big time that a dealer would do that and then pretty much blow you off.  Angry   If it's not real bad, a smooth file should fix it right up.  Wink

Get em to fix it or camp out on the doorstep and talk to EVERYONE that comes to the dealership. Some times ya gotta go up side the head with a really BIG hammer. All it takes is one disgruntled customer. Question is-are you disgruntled enough. Don't let them suckers win!!(the dealer ship)  RIDE SAFE.

Talk to everyone in management right up to the owner until YOU are satisfied...Service Mgr, GSM, GM etc... You are the customer and they damaged your ride.
Ask the manager his full name... then immediately ask him the full name of the owner... " And does he come into the dealership regularly, or would I have to write to him?"  "If I have to write to him about this, I am going to send a copy to the editor of the local newspaper and radio station too"  Get results and don't let it go... too many people do.

Make sure you take good detail pictures, and don't do any remedial repairs until and unless it is over.
