Memorial Day Ride Report with Pics....

Britman had his Memorial Day ride based out of my Hometown of Clayton, GA this year....I had to attend a party for my 11yr old Great Nephew on Saturday, so I didn't actually go on the official ride with the group....I did go on a ride of my own after the party though.....

I rode up Hwy 106 towards Highlands , NC and took these pics near that area.....










I decided to explore a road on the back side of Lake Rabun.....it was paved for the first couple of miles, but then turned to gravel....in honor of Britman, I motored on to see where it would end up....5 miles later I made it back to pavement....I had passed a few jeeps and 4 wheel drives and was getting some strange looks.... .....it was pretty rough in a few places with some steep hills and washouts, but the old Green Dragon was solid as a rock...I even crossed a small stream at one point but it was too wet to put the side stand down to get a pic without parking in the middle of the single lane road....

the lake was covered up with boats and jet skis...I stopped for a few pics when I could.....









When I got back to the motel, Smokin Joe was there......





and the rest of the crowd....









I really did room with Santa.....



But he said I was already on his Naughty list....looks like a half a lump of coal for me again this year??...




Santa found a "Good Girl"....Judy must be on his Good Girl List??.....






Here was the "Brain Trust"....solving world problems.....(I think we are in deep trouble??!!)....




Shamu even showed up in the pool at the motel...I hear tell the kids were scared off when he cleared his blowhole??......

hey SS. where are those falls in the pic.
i'm looking for a place to take my gdaughter on a ride and it looks like a neat place.
we will be leaving from cumming. also thinking of heading up to hiawasse for a couple days.
my gdaughter will ride with me and my gson will be on his bike.
looking forward to a fun 2-3 days together.

That's Bridal Veil Falls on Hwy 64 between Highlands and Franklin, NC.....it's a very nice road for motorcycling.....and maybe about 2 hrs from Cumming, GA.....
