Bandit...... There really aren't words to express the gratitude Rog and I have. You went above and beyond.... Again. Many many thanks for the rescue: cooldude:

Cheryl and I got in about 3:30 this afternoon. We had a quartering headwind yesterday. The local weather was calling it 30 to 40 with gusts to 60. I went on reserve at 114 on the leg between Alamogordo and Deming. Had a great time at Tucumcari though. It was great seeing everyone again. -RP

Maybe someone is getting that mileage, we've had head winds and cross winds and a few I can't describe! I got 23 on one tank, best was about 29, usually 35. oh, well, home tomorrow! Just over 200 miles to go

On one leg Mama went almost 200 miles before hitting reserve on her standard.
We got in late last night. Let me add my thanks to Vicki, Bandit, Des, Kendall, Steve and everyone else that helped make this gathering a great time. A special thanks to Matt for spending some time in the wind with me. I enjoyed a very blessed time.

Wizard and Lyn-Del are in the house! We had a great time at Robbers Cave and Tucumcari. In Oklahoma we saw rain for the first time in four months, rode in 50+ mph cross winds in Kansas, and swallowed a lot of blowing sand in New Mexico .......... it was a near-perfect trip.
But it's good to be home after being gone so long

Early Bird in the house also.
Thanks to all for making it happen. Special thanks to Bruce (DDT) for picking up the rear brake pads for my bike. I guess I just go too fast, too far, too often and expect then to last forever.
I have never replaced the rear pads on my bike. Bought it almost 4 years ago with 25,450 miles on it and replaced those pads at 106,703. No matter how you look at it that is over 81,000 miles on rear brake pads.
Being one of the 'Masters of fuel mileage' on the Valkyrie, my normal 37-40 mpg was shot to bits this weekend by the contrary winds. My mileage for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were: 33.7; 29.9; 28.7; 28.1; 25.4.
But, home safe and sound and again thanks to all for making it happen.
