a member from the VRCC forum......I was at the Cracker Barrel in Commerce, Ga yesterday....ate lunch there with the Wife before taking her shopping....as I was sitting in a rocking chair outside, a guy asked me if I was "Stanley Steamer" from the VRCC board....told him I was and he introduced himself and his Wife to us.....Wallie and Angela(?) from Tallahassee, FL........
They were pulling an RV and he'd noticed that the two driver side tires on the RV had large knots on them where the sidewalls met the tread....
.....and he asked me if there were any RV places close by that he could get some new tires from?....I told him I'd be happy to take him over to a place where there was( or used to be) an RV dealer.....they were out of business.....
.....found a trailer place that only sold the wheels and tires together......
....
I felt bad that we couldn't find anything to help him out, so I dropped him back at the Cracker Barrel and he and his wife were able to make it to an RV park just down the road.....I called him today and he told me they'd gotten hold of a 24hr RV place here in Athens and they were able to bring him some tires and get them back on the road towards home...and they'd made it home safe last night before midnight.....
Very nice couple, but then I haven't met any Valk owners yet that weren't good folks....glad they made it home ok......They are also friends with Thunderbolt......Wallie said he'd just sold his Valk a month or so ago....it wouldn't surprize me if there was another bike in his future....
