Does anyone have a good source for mr16 halogen bulb sockets/bases? One of the wires broke off in one of my 50w halogen driving light sockets. So I could have all my lights working at 4AM (deer thirty) I bought an $18 outdoor light at Menards and used the socket/base to repair my driving light. I imagine the other one will probably go soon and I hate to spend another $18 on it. These are probably the same sockets used in MotoLights but I can't swear to it.

Been there, done that.  The insulation on those isn't well suited to our application.  Try the HR-316-12 item at http://www.harringtonlights.com/products/halogen_repair_parts.htm

Thanks for the info. I just ordered two of the above lamp bases and a box of 50w bulbs.
Thanks again,
