I met up with Wolf1910 (Ron) at Seneca Rocks and we rode the ride route, Ron and his wife Debbie have set up the Cook-Out for us with the 4 H club as the host….they donated the food money and rental space to the 4 H to help them raise money for a local project…they will be serving Hamburgers and Hot Dogs, along with assorted salads, baked beans and drinks….the cost of the meal will be around $7 per person and all the money will go to the 4 H…I’d like to thank Ron and Debbie for all the work and time they have put in to making this ride a success, along with helping out a local children’s origination raise funds…

We start out from the Hotel at 9 am Sat. morning so be sure to be fueled up and have a hearty breakfast because we will not be at the cook-out area until around 2 pm, you will be able to get a snack and/or drink at one of the stops along the way…1st stop will be at Yokum's Store at Seneca Rocks, 1st fuel stop will be 90 miles in Greenbank, W.Va…
We head north on US 220 for about 12 miles to Smoke Hole Rd, we’ll cut across the mts. On the old forest rd (all paved) to route 28, heading south we will stop at Seneca Rocks for a break and then continue on 28 all the way to route 39 into Marlinton, W.Va. where we pick up rte US 219 which will take us to Droop Mt. where the cook-out will be, this is about 130 miles from the hotel….we’ll be taking a shorter route back to hotel from there, we have not decide which route to take back yet, but I’m figuring about 75 miles back….
The roads we’ve selected will be ones that you will always remember as one of greatest rides you’ve ever taken, a lot or twisty and switchback turns and very few straight aways….take your time and enjoy the ride, we will not make any turns until we all re-group….Joe and I take pride in these rides, they have always been large group rides, with various types of riders, we have never lost anyone and no one has ever been injured, we always encourage everyone to ride their own ride and enjoy the scenery, we hope everyone has a great time and we’ll see in Franklin, W. Va. Friday June 10th…

Highbinder, I will be riding up 219 from Rich Creek Friday morning to Lewisburg.  Take I-64 to Covington, then 220 to Franklin; unless you suggest a better route.  I will be Leaving for the run from Princeton, WVa Friday morning.  I did a lot of camping at Lake Sherwood many years ago.

Dubsvalk....we're leaving from Tazewell friday morning via rte 61 to Narrows, from there we go right thru Rich Creek, if you'd like to join our group, you could meet us at the Shell station in Rich Creek right off of 460...that's usually our 1st stop...I don't go the way you're taking, I go thru White Sulpher Springs to rte 92 to 39 right hand turn at 39 to 600 to 84 into Monterey, Va 220 to Franklin

Highbinder,  I would love to hook up with you at the Shell Station in Rich Creek!  What time do you plant on being there?
