I rode down to an area we have nearby that has a few twists and turns for us flatlanders. I met a guy who was there enjoying the road. We talked a bit and then we did our things. It wasn't a fair fight and he took me in the 1/4 and the twisties. The Black Pearl still sailed with pride though, it just wasn't a fair fight at all.

Who wants to tell us what it is and something about this little "sports car" that whooped up on Pearl? I'll tell you two things, 427 and right hand drive (it's the real deal too, not a copy VW).

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

Yep, 427 Ford in a GT40. Not sure of the year yet but he said it was chassis number 222 I think.

Similar to this car:  http://www.motorbikes.co.uk/detail?template=/motortrak06/hitlistdetail&vid=13188999

Ya that car is worth about 1.5 mill if a real one.
Shellby built them because Enzo would not sell
out to the Ford family. So Henrey Ford 2nd
had Shellby build the GT40. 210 in the back straights
of La monz[Spelling].

It won the 1969 Le Mans grand Prix driven by Jacky Ickx / Jackie Oliver. Gulf sponsored the car.  It was Ford's 4th win with the GT-40 and Carroll Shelby was tearing Ferrari a new one. It was great history and Ford recreated the GT which in itself is a real hotrod...But not a 427 side oiler! If that is the Le Mans winner it is a museum piece but if a recreated copy of the original it's still a million dollar car. For you trivia buffs, It was named the Gt-40 because the top of the roof is 40 inches from ground level...
