Ladies and gentlemen: In freely choosing to ride an out-of-production bike, I accept that a fair amount of aftermarket accessories - and (now) even some select OEM parts - are becoming hard to come by for our Valkyries. However, if this eBay item goes for the asking price (see following URL), I'm completely diamantling mine and selling it off bolt-by-bolt (please see my other auctions for the matching OEM nut and washer). http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1998-GL1500-GL-1500-Valkyrie-Rear-Seat-B7-/320709550380?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4aabc7612cNow, God bless capitalism and the free market, and while this may simply be a well-intentioned person just not knowing what something's worth (I know - say it' ain't so on eBay) - I ask you: Will this be the actual state of affairs in 10 years? or 15? Just comtemplating the future (while enjoying the present). Terry

I hope it was in better shape than the passenger seat. Seriously, though, his other parts don't seem all that out of line (price-wise), so perhaps it's a misprint. Terry

I've sold farm toys for over 30 years and always said one thing...
A price is never to high until an offer is made

Some duct tape and it's good enough for a passenger. My lady friend doesn't read this board.
