I'm leaving Wednesday morning from Ft. Wayne. It's only about 340 miles straight up the "mitten". I'll be making the trip on the scenic back roads hopefully arriving in the late afternoon.

I'm not quite ready to go, but I was thinking more of an easterly route with a stop to visit with Godfire on the way up.

We could start west and pick up El Cazador in NV or ID, then go east to pick up godfire in IN, then meet up with 2Valks in NC and go up through Maine into Canada and drop down.

What's that, TJ?  3-4 days / 3-4 tanks?   Wink

To All, I wish a safe trip to and from InZane. cooldude  Have fun. Wink  Wish I could, but funds and time will not permit.  Maybe when it comes closer I might make it.  I will say a prayer for all.  Be safe and God Bless us all.

I'm pretty much ready. New tires and coolant, still need an oil change. We dont have a set route yet. Usually depends on weather. I try to get out of the Texas heat and into cooler air asap. Will spend a day or two with TP and Nancy in MN, then ride with them to Escanaba Mi in the UP

Seriosly though, I am going, but just kinda following the pack. Will be my longest trip on a bike.

How many packs are leaving from Texas this year? Last year we had 3-4 packs. It's going to be hard to beat the route we took last year. What would be some good places/roads to go on out west and Canada?

If veteran Michigan/Inzane riders will give a general description of the route they are planning, we could get an idea on who wants to ride with who.  If we are really good, we could publish those routes early enough so that riders in the states we are passing through could join the pack as we progress.  Talk about rolling thunder!

Tentative plans are to leave Houston on the 23rd.

Still uncertain about routing.  Considering Little Rock, Memphis, Columbus, OH and visiting sister in Ashland, OH.  Then on up to Bellaire.

Not even mentioned to sister as yet, so still wide open planning.

Hey TJ & Disco,

Lisa & I are heading out on Sat. the 16th. We are taking backroads thru Va, Md, Pa, NY, Vt, NH, Me.
Up the coastline of Maine into New Brunswick and over to Nova Scotia.  Heading north to P.E.I. and then farther north to Quebec. Heading west and dropping down into Michigan thru Sault St. Marie.
Care to join up with us?

Man Oh Man, that sounds like a great trip, but I don't think I can swing the almost 3 weeks it would take.  Grrrr

At this point, I'm thinking about a fairly direct route...

Mark, I stop at gas stations to take scenic bike pictures with pumps in the background.

Well, maybe that, too, but you took those pics to commemorate the U-Turn I took everyone on when Garfield hit reserve...   2funny
