Boo, hisssss.

My front brakes have started to hiss. I noticed this while braking between tunes on my iPod. Sounds like air escaping, I thought 'Air brakes, cool!' then 'what?!?'. I don't remember them making any noise last year.
I had the right fork leak over the winter, and it pooled in the wheel hub and all over the rotor. Question is, would fork oil do something to the brake pucks to start them breaking down? Like would they absorb the oil and go soft? The brakes work like normal, but that could be just the left side, right? I'm going to change the pads before my Trip East, but for future reference I would like some input on this.
Fred.

Yes, fork oil can ruin your brake pad.
