Anyone been watching the bike build-off that Cadillac petioned from Jr and Sr?

Okay, I know that American Chopper isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I can't seem to stop watching the train wreck and family fued that are the Teutuls.

Anyway, I was curious, that if you watched the show, what you thought about the builds.   So I thought that I'd do a little informal VRCC poll to see which bike everyone thinks is the better bike....and who is the better builder/designer.

I know which one I like better, but I'm not saying........don't wanna sway any opinions.

So vote away.....and keep it clean.   cooldude

Here's the Discovery site if you want to vote there.....you can even bid on the bikes if you're loaded.  coolsmiley

If you haven't seen the episode, here's the last part of the show with the show-down between the two bikes......

Well, I never could stand to watch that show, but last week flipping through the channels, I came across it (part 1).  Checked the "info" on the episode and actually sounded interesting.  Made sure to watch it tonight and IMO Jr came out Way ahead. cooldude  I didn't care for Sr's one bit.  Matter of fact, I can't stand Sr. period!  crazy2

Update;  Just looked at the vote tally at Discovery.......wow!

Been listening to Senior rag on Junior for weeks now.  Every episode is "they can't do what we can do".  It was great seeing Senior get smoked on the track AND the bike build.

You cannot deny Jrs design ability. I thought his Carolina Awning bike was really cool.
And this CTS bike is Fantastic looking. And the air ride and no kick stand, very cool un vailing ..
Its long and low and has great proportions. Jr knocked it out of the park.

And the more Sr talks, the worse he sounds, definitly not going to father of the year..

I have thought that JR shoujld move his whole operation to Vegas or LA. Gotta be good for business and a whole new show.

Don't normally watch it either, but I did watch the unveil and although Sr had more HP, I thought Jr's looked much cleaner and represented the look of the Caddy.

The only way Jr. could have done better was the engine, I do not know how he missed supercharging it.
Did you see Sr.'s face when Jr. dropped it to the ground ? !!!

I so tired of Sr's raggin', give it up and get on with life. he has to take a stab every 10 minutes

Jr bike all the way.  I have a Caddy CTS  just wish it was the new CTS-V.   The only thing that he should have done was put a Valkyrie engine in it.

Seniors bike is the Bomb.

Juniors is purdy.

But Senior captured the model of the car perfectly, sort of stubby like the model car.

Junior just built a regular chopper and put a funny fender on it,.

BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THEY SOLD THEM BOTH FOR CHARITY.

Sweet.

Sr's bike looks like something a middle schooler scribbled on his paper binder.  Very predictable. Just because you have a cadd tube doesn't mean you can design.  We call them cadd jockey. No real design capabilit other than they drew cars and motorcycle on their paper binder in elementary school.

too bad neither wasn't an option.  those two yahoo's are so fake i can't believe the show's still on the air.  i believe the father acts like an asshole simply for ratings, the son moved out 'cause he wants his OWN money.  i only watch the show 'cause i like welding and creating things with metal, but after a while, it gets really boring seeing ANOTHER v-twin rolling down the street, how original is that?

Glad some charitys are gonna see some green from this-but other than that-i would rather watch paint dry. Way more interesting and at the very least-it's real. uglystupid2 RIDE SAFE.

They do not assemble the motors..they buy them ! They purchase the frames from a custom builder. The paint work is done at a body shop down the street and all the design is done with a computer program befor the first part is ordered. HOW THE F*%(# is that building a bike ? ...sounds more like assembly of a hand picked bunch of parts with no budget considerations either.  tickedoff

Quit watching them long ago.  Phony family, phony script.  Everything's  phony except the
bikes, they are real crap and not fit to ride.

Sorta like a mechanized Jerry Springer show.

The fact that they donate to charity now is what keeps them going from what I hear.

I like Jrs bike

As for the showing being staged - perhaps.

What attracted to me the show way back when was watching Jr take an idea in his head and have it come out in metal. It was (for me anyways) awesome to see that creative talent.

The ability to draft out a design and rework it on paper or CRT is impressive, but to go from mind to scrawl on paper (sometimes) to metal is much more impressive to me.

What can I say - I am envious of creative people.

The all time irony from that show was Jr's comment..."when you ride one of these bikes, you get respect."    2funny crazy2

They are all boat anchors (as far as I'm concerned).  The tribute bikes for 911, FDNY, etc were nice for the customers ordering them, but I wouldn't own or ride any of them.

The show should have been called the Dysfunctional Family Soap Opera Hour.  And I always felt sorry for Vinnie, Rick and the other working men who had to put up with that place.... talk about a hostile work environment.  Used to watch actual work and fabrication, and mute the ranting; but stopped watching entirely over a year ago.

I stopped watching them after the first season, because as said same old same old, every show, bitch bitch, bitch..... and their bikes? Well some look great, but who the hell wants to ride them? I sure do not, I like form and function, what Honda had figured out prior to the V twin craze. The only V for me is (V)alkyrie.... Lets ride  cooldude

I had to laugh when they showed a brief screen-shot of an email Sr. wrote Jr. with regards to negotiating a "settlement". I think the only words he spelled right were "Love, Dad".

I do watch the show occasionally, as I like seeing some of the paintwork being done (by others!) and the outings like the one they did to to the camouflage-coating business.

I kind of miss some of the chopper shows where they actually built most of the bike. Jr. and Sr. have custom frames, wheels, and engines appear like magic the first day or two of a "build". I would rather see the late Indian Larry or incarcerated Billy Lane any day. I don't care for choppers but I like watching guys who can actually do something besides yack.
