Here's a hint.......POST SOME PICS.  Pictures SELL your item...the more the better. 

It also helps us the buyer to see if we even want to respond to your add. 

And please......PLEASE.....after your item sells.....go back and update your posting to say that your item as sold.  I'm sure that you don't want to be overloaded with requests about your item after it's been sold.....it wastes not only your time, but ours as well. 

Thank you for your support, and now back to your regularly scheduled program.   Wink

After it is sold the listing/topic can be deleted by the person who posted it.  That would really clean up the old listings including the listings for items wanted.

Looking at the old adds, it seems that no one ever goes back and does that.  The adds are just there forever.

I agree with all the above suggestions and have a suggestion for the admins - it sure was was easier with the old Classifieds, when you could respond directly to the seller on the Classified post, instead of having to use PM's or e-mail.

Just my $0.02 worth......

The point was to reduce the amount of spam sent to those who post on the classifieds but not directly posting their email.  The ratio for spam versus real responses was getting outrageous.  There are icons below each persons name on the left of the ad to click to send a PM or email.....
