On about July 9 or 10 I will be crossing into Canada on the Thousand Island Bridge.  Not sure of the exact time.  Anyone have experience?  Best Time?  Anything is helpful.  Thanks, Mark

Late afternoons and evenings should be avoided on weekends. If you're 'connected' while on the road, check the website. Border wait times are updated hourly:

Depending on your destination, there is another bridge 45 minutes East, Prescott in Canada, Ogdensburg on NY side. Never much of a line-up there. That's why, unlike Thousand Islands (aka Lansdowne) it's not even on the border wait-times list of ports.

A beautiful area to ride in! I belive you will be going east on Rt. 11? I went to SUNY Canton ( a long time ago). Beautiful clean towns, very quaint. Potsdam is a great town, very nice local  red sandstone buildings.
There was a great dinner, (again a long time ago)on the Canadian side of the Ogdensberg Bridge that had the best hot cakes! I wish I remembered where but 1974 was a long time ago.

Wanted to add a side note. I needed to test my passport last year
so I could go to Inzane without worry. Crossed the border at
Gananoque (close to 1000 isl.), cruised north along the
St. Lawrence river, up to Ogdensberg. Went back home at that
bridge at Ogdensberg.
I've got a car tire on, and the bridge there has a slight down-slope
to the left. The grating is a diamond type.
When I 'finally' got across, I had to look at the seat to see
how badly it had been 'pinched'.
One damn scary bridge with a car tire.

The long grated bridge at Mackinaw Michigan is very easy
in comparison.
