didn't get to ride to it but had a blast. I was responsible for the campout for about 28 men and boys. We are in a missions orginization called Royal Ambassadors. We get our name and mandate from II Corintians 5:16-6:4. One of the interest activities for RAs is camping. I've been involved with RAs for over 32 years and camping is one of my favorite things to do with the boys. It gets them away from all the junk, gets them in a setting they can hear the still small voice of God. They learned how to use a compass, make a one match fire, how to tie several different knots, made their own buddy burner breakfast, and maintained a trail. And the camp director, aka cook, made us the most delicious brownie ever. Put the mix in the pan as normal, but coconut on top, peanuts on top and bake, about 5 minutes before taking out put some carmel morsels on top, take out while still a little gooie in the middle, then saturate with Hershey's chocolate syrup. Good lawd a mecri sir. Don't knock it till you try it and for you diabetics, I'll be joining you soon if I keep eating like that.
I did get to ride to the monster truck show last night. Our youngest that got in trouble last weekend trying to help a friend worked the event. He made the jumps for the trucks. Also there were some local four wheeler racers. And two FMX riders. The guy that owns the FMX outfit is Tim Dyson. He grew up just up the road from us and is now a pro Freestyle MotoCross stunt rider. I've seen him and my wife actually had pics of him on her cell phone from two years ago at Thunder Beach. I'm fixin to look up Thunder Beach's # so Tim can try to get set up to be there next weekend. If he is able, I think he wants Chris to go help them.
Anyway, the guy, Denny?, that runs the monster truck show wants Chirs to help him when needed and will fly him wherever they will be to help. Not bad for a 19 year old. He has such a great work ethic and common sense (sometimes).
Didn't make it to church this morning so I thought I would share some time with my VRCC family.
