Poor sales

the honda service guy says there are rumors of a new valkyrie.

Hasn't that rumor been circulating since 2003?  Of course there was the Ruin, er, Rune.

Sounds about correct for a stocker, except for the black ones which are higher

There's a chapter in every state and a lot of countries

Doubleminded, I've only had my Dragon since November of last year and I was under the impression that the black Valks were the fastest of all. Roll Eyes  Evil

DM, there are multiple ways to stir up a hornet's nest on the forum

1) Declare your color is the fastest (fyi, the Valks with blue are the fastest since they blew right past all the others)  cooldude

2) Go Darkside or tell everyone why they are nuts to go Darkside crazy2

3) Declare your choice of oil superior to everyone else's choice Evil

4) Declare a Standard or Tourer superior to Interstates (everyone knows Interstates are the premier version of the Valkyrie).  coolsmiley

And there are others - I just can't think of them right now.

There appears to be some truth that the '97 Valks are the fastest, regardless of color (with the noted exception of blue Valks)

The black/teal Valks are known as having very fastidious, caring owners who clean their bikes almost as much as they ride them.  angel

Houdini has almost everything else right, except for that mistake he keeps making about the black valks being fastest.

All Valks will go faster than you want to ride, by the way.

As for this chapter, Texas seems to be the most active and we get a lot of visits from Valk owners from other states.  If you attend rides like the Gathering of the Fools, the Tucumcari BBQ, Inzane, etc, you will find Valks from all over the continent at that event.  There is also an Inzane in Europe and a strong group of riders there.

So, be proud of owning a unique and wonderful motorcycle.  Even if it isn't the fastest or best looking.  Evil

3.the honda service guy says there are rumors of a new valkyrie.

There have been rumors of a new Valk for years -- my dealer has been on notice for a long time that the first new black Valk they get is MINE!

Hasn't that rumor been circulating since 2003?  Of course there was the Ruin, er, Rune.

I love my Rune!  I did, however, spend the first year or so after it came out stating "It's NOT a Valkyrie!!"  It is a Rune, and as a Rune, is a wonderful bike.  It's just not a Valkyrie.
