Rear Speakers not working
«

I have a 99 Valkyrie Interstate and yes the rear speakers are in the rear armrests. I removed the arerests and all wires were plugged in. I traced the wires to the right side and saw that the wires were connected there as well. I adjusted the fader to only play the rear speakers but no luck. any ideas?

I have never touched an Interstate.
Can the rear speakers be plugged into the front speaker outlet if there is one ? You don't know if your getting output to the rears or if the fader switch is working.

First, get some dielectric gel or spray and trace all your connects; unplug and spray or gel them and plug back in ( they get dusty and corroded even in areas you wouldnt think ). If that doesnt correct it, get a speaker you know works and make sure both sides will power that speaker to determine if it's speakers or wiring. If it's speakers replace them ... If it's 12 yr old wiring I'd replace the speaker harness rather than trying to look for shorts (about 20 bucks at JP Cycles, Honda Online direct, J&M or many other aftermarket vendors). If you replace speakers, several of these vendors also offer OEMs or upgrades, too. Good Luck
