Hello Everyone... I am new to VRCC and new to the F6.  Sold my Road Star and went down to Carbondale, IL to buy a 99 Interstate!  Dealer didn't gas her up though and while in Carbondale a truck got between me and the person who drove me down... no biggie, I will just signal for a pitstop when we get out of town, right?  Nope... Il-3 has got to be one of the longest roads in the midwest with no gas stations! So, fortunately, the first thing I learned about the Valkyrie is that it has a generous reserve.  Managed to make it all the way to Chester, IL which was the first gas stop anywhere I could find!  Would not have made it on the Road Star!

I am really enjoying the Interstate and don't feel so bad anymore about not being able to afford a nice GL1800.  Besides which, unlike the GL1800, my Valkyrie will stand out at the biker hangouts around St. Charles Co., MO!  Even the "Motor Company" crowd has given me a few nods and nice comments!

Welcome to the Valk world!  You won't be dissapointed in your new girl.  There are several valk riders in the area, so don't be suprised if you run into several while out and about.  Hopefully before long we can have a STL get together.

Welcome to the insanity. uglystupid2 Ya doesn't need to be insane here-but it sorta kinda helps now and then. There is a lot of knowledge available on this site for the fat ladies that have let us become part of their life. Look at the shop talk page and the known issues with this m/c we all seem to love and care for. You will get looks and lotsa questions about em. Again welcome to the family and ride er like you stole it. Enjoy. RIDE SAFE.

Welcome to the group. You will find everthing you need to know about your new bike here. There is not much a person could want to do to a Valkyrie that these guys have not already done. I live just South of Festus Mo. Feel free to contact me if you should want to ride some time. Or maybe need some info on the bike . Be glad to help if I can.
