south park quotes get me through difficult days  Roll Eyes

I was listening to 'gun talk' with Tom Gresham and I learned;

1. the once lowly .380 is now with modern COR-BON ammo a viable self defense caliber. now on par with .9mm and .38 in ballistic jell tests.   the thing is would you rather carry a small side arm or no side arm because you have a big heavy caliber too uncomfortable and bulky?

2. I heard not one but 2 testimonials for the Springfield arms XD45. one of them from a certifiable colt 1911 aficionado. a XD w/ full clip and a 4" barrel weighs in a little over 40 ounces. I'm impressed.....

3. the recent post about the U.N. trying to pass resolution about our gun laws is a scheme that goes around by email every 6 months to a year and is originated by someone phishing for funds to 'fight' this outrage. Tom said it's been circulating for about 15 years.  Shocked

Their M1A receivers and 1911 frames are made in Brazil.  They really don't make anything.  They assemble it.

People are more passionately opposed to wearing fur than leather because it's safer to harass rich women than bikers.

Homie's a dyed in the wool 1911 lover, but, the XDm in .45 is on my list of thangs to have (at some point in time).  Comfy grip, plenty accurate.  Not a big fan of the trigger, but, I hear that can be massaged too.  My buddy bought one... I fed is some of my 185 gr JHP reloads and it never skipped a beat (neither did my 1911).  I likes 'em.

thew colt lover on the show had them tweak the trigger at the factory from 7-8 lbs down to about 4. sounds like money well spent.

how are you Mr. Zesty?
