Where'd old times go?

Frisco, TX

« on: June 14, 2011, 04:25:13 AM »

Well, the restaurant that Valkpilot, Lori and I rode to last year was at the Cedar Mills Marina on Lake Texoma.  It's called Pelican's.  Has a great view of the marina.

We had their breakfast buffet and it was pretty darn good.  They offer it 8a-11a on Saturdays and Sundays - $8.95 per person.  And, of course, you can order from the menu if you want.

Parking (for bikes) is a little iffy but there's several places that aren't gravel.

  Here's their map..

                                                 Merely a suggestion.

I can't make this Saturday.  Dad and I, and anyone else who want to, are going to the Denton Air Show.

http://denton.schultzairshows.com/index.html

Gates open at 0900 for breakfast with the pilots.  Show starts at 1200 and runs 'til 1600.

Going to Hot Springs to see father in law for Father's Day. So can't make it this weekend (like I would actually be able to ride by the weekend!)  How about the following weekend?

Tomorrow morning (on the 18th) will  work for me. It's getting a little late for a real plan. At this time all I can do is make sure I am in Decatur by 8 and let my GPS lead the way. Only 186 miles one-way for me. Or for lack of interest I can just meet you there or ride somewhere else.  Are you going? Anybody else?

The only thing I know for sure: I want to ride somewhere in the morning because on father-day the bike stays  Shocked  parked . TJ
