I use rotella synthetic, could'nt find it in Wally World so i bought a jug of Mobil 1. I swear the Bike  seems quiter runs smoother and shifts easier. Or is my mind trying to justify paying 26 dollars a jug?

Hey Bonzo I am assuming that you used the 15/50 Mobil One and that would make sense the base stock that it uses is pretty close to rated and therefore doesn't require the amount of additives to thicken or bring it up to specs. Most 10/40 oils do require it and even some 20w/50 to get them to perform to spec.

2funny Of course it will run smoother, it's fresh oil and it has the friction additives which wet clutches like we have in the Valks do not like!  Cry  per Mobil ALL of their oil now has friction modifiers added. IMO, stick with the Diesel oils that don't have it in their formula yet! Thanks EPA Angry

I usually run the Rottella  full synthetic 5w15
The Mobil 1 15W30 had no 3's or letters in the bottom rocker.
I thought that meant no friction modifiers added.

That is what I thought also.  I am on my second oil change using Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel.  Also available at Wal-Mart.  Everything seems to be doing fine. I am also a big believer in the Purolator Pure One oil filters although I know that there are many oils and filters that will keep a Valkyrie running forever(almost)...JTL
