What a difference a year makes.

Well,...OK, it still bothers me but last year I couldn't ride until the third week in August.

Momz whats the rest of the story. Looks like a postior cervical fusion. I have a scar that looks a lot like that. Hows your progress. I had mine last Oct and still have a lot of pain. I'm back to work but having a tough time. The worst part is I stop a lot when riding. Good luck

Phil57,

This was my second surgery to open my spinal column so that my spinal chord could send nerve signals to my extremities. It is not a fusion, rather my lateral ligaments on my spinal chord were calcifiying and reducing the signals from my brain to my legs and arms (especially on my left side). The rear most bones were removed and most of the calaification shaved, then they put in metal rods, pins, and screws.

I made Bike Week 2010, but just after returning home I lost the use of my left leg and arm.
Scared the crap outta me, but faith in my neurosurgeon, my wife, and my God got me through this.

But this year, I will be riding at INZANE.

Great news on the recovery, momz!

I had three lumbar surgeries and still have paralysis in my right leg but can still walk and ride.  You just got to take the good with the bad.

I guess some of us could join the COBB Society (Crippled Old Biker Bastards).

Riding is Therapy and pain isn't so bad when your in the wind.

I had back surgery to correct L4/L5 stenosis.  Completely successful.

Bone on bone on right knee and arthritis of the right wrist but so far so good.  I did have to give up the Valk as I couldn't push it around. Pushing the Strom around is marginal but again so far so good.

Walking and weight lifting helps. Use it or lose it.

I'm sure it can reach a point that transcends, but so far it all goes away in the wind (both physical and emotional).

It's great you'll be able to ride at Inzane this year.  Take some twisties fast for me, as work has me trapped this year.

chrise2469,

The campground won't be the same without you (and your tent with AC).
Hoping our paths will cross again.
