I've gone on a lot of Valkyrie rides with Henry...

Now he's on a more flickable ride... an ST1100...

We took off on a first ride at 8:00 this morning, didn't head towards the mountains (next time),
but still had fun... out through the countryside in Anderson County to our first destination...
Grits and Groceries, and breakfast...

I cooked up a hair-brained scheme to ride from there down towards the old town of
Lowndesville and try to get a look at The Caldwell-Hutchison Farm house...
a 200 year old dog-trot style house back in the woods near the Richard B. Russell
lake...

We had some fun stopping and talking to a few people along the way, but it turns out you need
a key to get past a gate to get back in there... have to call ahead... Anyhow, there's plenty of
good old South Carolina houses and stuff to see out where we were in the country side, and
the little camera managed to catch a few as we went by:

We wave at scooters  Smiley

We ended up at Mount Carmel, and stopped to take a drink of water by
this old brick relic...

Then I notice the dirt drive back up in there to the left, is that a house
back there? Sure enough...

We ended up at a peach shed near Belton, Henry picked up some peaches and blackberries,
then we headed off for home... Henry likes his ST1100, it is clean and he says it is smooth and
easy to ride... we were only out for about 5 hours, and stopped many times, I hope the ST1100
can be comfortable for long rides, Britman goes and goes on his ST1300...

And now for the quiz: what state are we from?  Wink

Yep, I have a friend who will only buy an 11 if it has them. The traction control is great for greasy roads.

So my Mini has a limited slip front differential, that's a mechanical traction control system. A lot of cars
these days have TCS and other electronic traction control systems... I wonder if ST1100s have mechanical or
electrical traction control systems... some people sell add-on TCS modules for a limited number of modern motorcycles...
