Guaranteed not a hoax.  Found in many MacDonald's in the city.  School kids come out after school, buy a drink, and fill up the place doing homework and studying.

That's it...Sounds like my local Seminole township McDonalds, only a little different. You can't find a seat inside in the morning...period. The local retired folks all go for their morning coffee/B.S. session. There's two retirement parks and a mobil home retirement community within walking distance. They will sit there half the day re-filling their coffee's. Roll Eyes

Maybe they don't have lights at home.

What do you think the reason is? That they are ganging up and studying at Mickey D's.

It's probably on a college campus.....hence the reference to the study corner outside.

My parents had a restaurant and every Wednesday night the holy roller group would come in after church to suck down coffee and BS till 11:30pm or later.  They would NEVER order anything off the menu, just coffee, maybe a donut or two.  We closed at 10:00 and would stop making coffee at 9:00, turn off the lights, put the chairs up, and everything.  They would just stay there to be AS$HOLES (preaching the word to each other and complaining how badly they’re persecuted by non-believers).  I don’t blame McDonalds one bit in putting up a sign telling their minimal paying customers that their place is NOT a library.

Here in Pearland, it's the Whataburger.  They all have their old $.05 coffee cups and as long as they have the cup, they pay a nickle for the first one and all refills are free from then on.  There aren't enough of them to fill the restaurant, usually about 6-7 in there solving the worlds problems....

P.S.  Can't wait until I can join them...  Smiley

I think the SE means you won't find kids STUDYING in a McDonalds in America, not that they won't congregate there.
You know..... everything is done better elsewhere than in the lazy & stupid United States.  Roll Eyes

BTW, how 'bout that extra tax money you sent in last year Mr. Eagle???? Maybe it could be used to start a federal program to improve American kid's study habits.  2funny 2funny

Yup, they did with this one too, this is the latest in Nirobi fashion...goat backpacks.  No metal to trigger metal detectors.  This one is filled with his lunch and some school books.  Notice how they carefully sewed the tail so that nothing leaks out the hole, but it also provides added lower back support.  Smart.
