I use those in my Taurus Judge...obviously only .410 though but they perform nicely on paper.

I've seen gun mags discourage the use of reloads for defensive use because of potential lawsuits from criminals saying "your bullets shoot too hard" Most of my home defense loads are my reloads in spite of that. As long as I can resist the urge to extract the bullet with a pocket knife to check it's performance I think (hope) I'll be OK on that one.

Slugs are good, in my 12 gauge Mossberg 500 18 1/2 inch factory barrel.
2 and 3/4 inch Double '00' are better.
But 3 inch double 00 are just going to kill about anything you point and shoot at.
Ultimate home defense weapon.
But my 9mm ain't bad with the stuff I put in it, Corbon Factory, Copper only, +P, one should do it.

Up here in Canada they frown on that kind of defence. Up here the frakin criminals seem to have all the rights and the victim has none. Thanks to years of liberal socialism. If someone breaks into your home you should have the right to stop them anyway you need to.

we always worry that our rights to self defense will erode to that level or below. castle law still holds for now. I remember hearing a story about Peru where there is NO castle laws. they live in virtual prisons complete with tall walls and glass embedded at the top, or barb wire, or the richer residents have electric wires. they have tons of law enforcement, but you can't wear jewlery openly it will get snatched. if a 230 line backer breaks into your house and you are 85 years old and you defend yourself with a knife 3" longer then the one your oppenent has? you are screwed.....
