Been looking at tire plug kits for my bike and wondering which would be better the ones with the copressor of the co2 mini tanks. Was also wondering if any of you guys have use either and which you feel is the better of the two. Thanks for any info.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I heard it takes alot of mini tanks to fill a tire. At least with the compressor you can inflate other stuff. Small compressor ond string plugs is what I carry.

I think a slime pump beats the CO2 cartridges (it plugs right in to my SAE battery tender pigtail already in place).  I could not find a kit with what I wanted; stringy plugs and glue, full size T-handle reamer and plugger tools, because the kit screwdriver-handles will kill your hands getting thru a steel belt radial.  You will need a decent pliers or multitool to pull the offending nail/object out.

Also recommend a headband LED lite so you can find the hole in the dark.  (the hole in the tire, not....  Evil)

The down side of the co2 cartridges will be if you get a flat and need to refill the tire before you get to shop for repair. A compressor will keep inflating over and over. My saddle bags have a Stop and Go plug kit with mushroom plugs and instead of a compressor I carry I have the Stop and Go Fix and Flate. That is only a hose and no pump to take up any room. You just pull one spark plug and screw it into the plug hole and the engine pumps up the tire. No compressor to carry or have burn out and packs very small.
All made for Motorcycles.

Hope it helps

Ever used the spark plug pump? I heard they can blow out enough air to put a tire back
on the rim... wishful thinking?

I carry both the small electric for inflating low tires or flats that haven't un-beaded, and I carry the spark plug pump...it WILL seat an unbeaded tire if you can get the weight off of the tire (ie, center stand). I *have* done it.
