I have a love affair with a bumblebee

Country Rep. Norway

WWW
« on: June 24, 2011, 03:39:33 PM »

Hello dear friends.
I have not been much on the forum last months. I have been busy with a divorce that has taken almost all my time and energy. Now I got this at a distance and is now happily married to myself.
My daughter Silje has mostly followed me everywhere lately. She loves to ride with me.

Last Sunday we were on a long ride, and I had to stop about every 15th minute and wake her up on our way home. I think I should consider installing armrests.

I have been visited by several VRCC members last week. We have performed maintenance on the bikes

and had some local rides.

The evenings have been social, grilled and talked. These ribs have been a little too long on the grill. Is this what is called medium plus??

Does anyone have a suggestion about where to scatter ashes?

Dag, Many blessings as you move forward... went thru that 5 + yrs ago and it was one of the lowest times in my life with 3 young boys. Focus on what's important, those beautiful girls. In the end, my kids were all that really matter. Keep smiling & Ride safe......

My condolences Dag, I wish you and your family all the best.

I did that back in 1989, raised my two kids Des-6, Nick-4, on my own and even drug them across different states on contracted jobs. We all survived and remain very close. They're now in their late 20's cooldude

Hang in there!

Dag,   Sorry to hear about the circumstances... and I won't say they are unfortunate or fortunate, only you can decide that.  Having been down that road a few times myself, I wish you and your kids well. Focus on the important things, like you have been... and it will all work out in the end.   Divorce can be expensive..... but sometimes it's really worth it, other times it can be a real bargain.

Sorry about your troubles Dag.  Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.  Somewhat traumatic and expensive, but the peace and quiet is the best I've ever had.

Your daughters are beauties.

Stay in touch and let us know how things are going.

So THAT'S why you didn't come visit this year!  Sorry to hear about the divorce.  Good luck with those 2 girls.  I bet the boys are gonna be hard to keep at bay.  Did the divorce thing about 22 years ago.  Been with BJ 18 years in September (2nd and last marriage) and life is good.

Wish you would come visit/ride here in the states...

Hey Dag... Two great looking kids.  Sorry to hear about the divorce.. Been there too.  Hope it was amicable and you can remain friends for the girls sake too.
Yes... You need to get armrests for the sleepers.  Don't want them rolling over in their sleep.

Those ribs weren't on there too long... more like two days... 2funny

Thank`s for all the kind words  cooldude
It`s been an expensive experiance, but it`s temporary. In short time it`s history.

I have 42 days left of my vacation. I will go to Denmark with my daughters the two first weeks of August (by car)  crazy2
If the weather are good, I have plenty of time for riding this summer. It looks like I will have a trip over to Houston late August or early September.

I have to ask Hotglue if he could arrange a course in cooking when I make the trip across the pond next time.

There's a bike waiting for you to come ride here in Houston!!  We'll be going to the Rune Rally the first week of September (you're welcome to join us if you have the time!), but will be sure the bike is available to you while we're gone.

Hotglue, you got room to board a Valk for a few days?

I can tell by the smiles that they are truly "Daddy's Girls", you are a lucky man. Dag, better out of a bad marriage with options in the future and the experience to have learned what you won't tolerate. The fjords are beautiful, enjoy them and your daughters and the peace you are finding as you go forward.
