Just letting anyone that would like to hook-up for the ride to InZane know we'll have ( 4 ) Valkyrie's leaving the Knoxville, Tennessee area on Monday morning 7-25-11. We plan doing both interstate and state highways getting there. We'll stop " somewhere " Monday night and finish the ride to ground zero on Tuesday 7-26-11.I had a outstanding time last year and I'm looking forward to the return to northern Michigan. We rode everyday last year and plan to do so again this year. Last year the weather was perfect for riding and I have my fingers crossed it will be that way again.....Bring It...LET'S RIDE  Smiley

Please Mike I only said something that one time when you cleaned up your bike and left the wheels funky...Cleaning up a beautiful machine like the Valkyrie and not doing the wheels is like buying shoes with the socks sewn in  Roll Eyes

Joe,  What time are you leaving and where are you meeting?  Most likely the Hardees in Clinton.  Maumee, Ohio is about two thirds of the way there if you stay on I-75.  We could hook up with Gig for dinner if that fits your plans.  Who all is leaving from Knoxville?  Should I wear my day-glo vest? Cheesy or would I be out of place? 2funny  Enjoy your vacation!

As of now T-Bird ,Dubs, Wimp and  Smokinjoe....Hookin' up at Hardee's @ the I-75 Clinton/Norris exit 122...Around 9:00 am.( " NOT " the Hardee's in Clinton next to K-Mart )  A couple more folks have ask about riding with us however none have made the commitment to say " Yes " I'll be there...T-Bird will already have over 100 miles on the ride when we hook up that's the reason for the 9:00 meet time.

9:00A.M. is good!  Have you thought about how far we will ride before stopping for the night?  I figure we need to get at least 1/2 way there if not farther along.  We have a good group going so I better get them wheels clean!  New shoes for the front going on too!

Joe,
If you all want to camp I'll see if'n I can get a spot here at the campground for ya.

Or, The Baymount in Monroe MI is nice.  I think $55 at night with a pool.  But keep in mind if you'ns passing by Monroe you can visit a Damn Yankee who's got to work (but I'll spend some of that money on Joe and company).

Also, gots to work this weekend.  Going to try and convince the plant to let me have Friday the 9th off so I can spend 2 days riding with SmokinJoe in the Beautiful By God Tenn mountains.

Enjoy the beach.

It's a trick! There's no Friday with a nine in it till September...

Dubs last year we made Holland, Mi. with time to spare in fact most of our first day ride last year was in the pouring rain  Sad  We should have no problem getting close to 3/4 of the way on day one even with staying off the blue road as much as possible.

Charlie the weekend of the 22nd/24th is when the VOAI Rally is going on in Maggie Valley, NC . I plan on ridin' up either on friday 22 or saturday 23 and spending the night. If you could swing that we could make a hellofa ride just getting up there.I'd like to spend more time hangin' out with that group however with family vacation on the beach this week and InZane at the end of July these motels are getting deep in my pocket  Sad  Still have trouble seeing why the VOAI piled this rally right on top of InZane. The InZane dates was posted weeks before this date was announced it only hurt attendance for both IMO  Undecided

I am looking forward to another great trip to Belaire  cooldude The VRCC staff, the Michigan chapter of the VRCC, and of course the townspeople of Belaire Michigan made it one of the best events I've been too ( and there wasn't any strippers  Cheesy)  I'm sure it will be even better this year if that is even possible.

Joe,
My brother from Seattle and his wife are coming in that weekend for a wedding in Lansing and he is forcing me to enjoy their company.  I actually do enjoy their company and I have to play a spirited and humorous round of golf with him (more humorous than spirited).

I've got Friday the 8th off because I'm work 5 twelves starting tomorrow so I still plan on heading south to ride with the Wild Bunch or just you however this works out.  Figuring Hardee's at 9ish on Friday unless you say otherwise.  Wil leaving from Monroe around 6ish after work.  OBTW, wheels still dirty, but I might try and clean some of the crap off of them (if you believe that then....).

I've been jonesing for some curves and now that the Big Red Land Elephant is whole again, it's time to ride.

Hope you can make it. Let me know otherwise.  Miles and smiles is the plan.
