Is anyone planning a wrench session soon.  I want to replace the jets in my carbs, and sinc.  I am still waiting for the o rings for the intake runners to come in.  Thanks

The o-rings and sync aren't hard.  Do you need to replace your jets or want to replace your jets?

Want to.  I am hoping that it will stop running lean with the new jets.  I bought 105 main and 38 slows.    When I bought the bike it had set for about 2 years.  Instead of replacing the jets with new ones I just ultrasound the old ones and put them back in.  I have some popping and spitting going on.  I have fixed all the vacuum leaks.  So I was thinking that it may be the slow jets because at 220 - 2800 is when it is real bad.

There is a set of non-viton o-rings in the football, but I bought the viton o-rings from Red-Eye.

Re running lean, is that from looking at spark plugs?

My orings came in today.  Yes when we pulled the plugs it showed that 4 were running lean.

I doubt that very much that it's caused by your jets. At that rpm your throttle should only be a little more than 1/8 turn open. Needles and pilot screws adjustment can/and will have a biggest impact.  Main jets don't come into play past 1/3 open throttle.  Personally I found that my bike with a clean air filter, everything stock(exhaust, jets etc) my bike runs every much on the rich side especially in this hot weather we are having. Using an CO2 exhaust gas analyzer I found that my trouble was with #2 and #6 idle jet adjustment screws. After replacing and adjusting I have gotten my best MPG in a while. 37.6 MPG on a full tank (218 miles with 5.8 gallon).

I am saving up kitchen passes (World famous Rainmaker quote) for my InZane trip. I would be more than happy to test your bike make some adjustment if neccesary, but you would have to come to Dublin, TX . PM me if your interested.
