I'm trying to find someone here in Tennessee close to the knoxville area that has the 6 into 6 exhaust on thier Valk. Looking to buy but I would really like to hear them in person before taking the $700 + plunge.  If anyone has, or know anyone who has them drop me an email at cwoodwrkn@bellsouth.net

Thanks! Ride Safe!

I'll be down for a couple days of Wing Ding. If you can't find a local, shoot me a PM with your number.

Personally I love the sound of mine.

Has a good, strong, throuty sound when getting on it but not too loud when cruising.
People DO know your coming and realize it's not your typical V-twin, like most others!!

Good luck with your choice.  I really don't think you'll be disappointed if you decide to get them.

I've got a friend who races vintage sports cars in multiple classes. He says it sounds like an old 60's era indy car.

I was thinking of buying a set as well, I love the sound.  The only thing that turns me off of them is that all the ones I have seen, the front pipes have turned blue.  Is there a set similar to the Cobras that won't?

They're not shielded unlike many other pipes.
Personally I like the look.

I have the Cobra "shorties" on my Valk.  Obviously, they are shorter than the reg pipes and have no baffels, nor have they ever been drilled for baffels.  Adds a lot to the sound.  Mine are not "bluing".  They are "bronzing".  But that does not detract from the overall look and sound.  Somebody will probably chime in with a comment about carb settings since the headers are turning bronze and that would be welcomed.  However, I still get about 32-33 mpg average and I am OK with that too.  Have never seen another set of "shorties" on any valk but I like them.  Don't know about the possibility of getting new ones like that.  Bought mine from a friend who was selling his valk and I got the pipes before he replaced them with stock.

I have a set I will sell cheap off my valk. They are in ok shape but have blued a little and need some cleaning. They would be alot cheaper then 700$. I just didn't care for the sound.
