I am looking for something small, low profile, lightweight with a visor for the Florida sun. I recently ordered a "Skid-Lid" brand Traditional helmet. They claimed it was low profile. It was actually a better quality helmet than I expected, it just wasn't low profile (mushroom head). Anybody know of helmets out there that fit that description? (small, low profile, lightweight with a visor)

One of my lids is an HCI. It's minimal protection, but it fits your description. HCI DOT Helmets

I wear the exact same helmet, it has been labeled with many different brand names.
What I like most about it is the four vents. My HCI is unvented. It reduces the size. I have a vented HJC which I wear most of the time, but this is my HCI:

In that picture you look like Paul Sr. from OCC. Also, you don't look like you are in Kansas anymore.

Tundra I have the Scorpion 100 with the built in sun shade. I like it very much, pretty light weight, fairly low profile and very comfortable for me. I especially like the sun shade when I'm on the Blue Ridge and come to a tunnel. Immediate clear vision with the visor sun shade gone in a second. Bill

I especially like the sun shade when I'm on the Blue Ridge and come to a tunnel. Immediate clear vision with the visor sun shade gone in a second. Raybans inside of a full-face with the visor closed suck in BRP (or any other) tunnels... but if you're in the tunnel with 10 other Valkyrie riders, you can just go by sound, not sight, since they're all blowing their Rivco horns Here's another picture of Willow in Texas... -Mike "it needs a caption..."

I like the Scorpion also. The retractable visor works great. What size helmet do you wear Tundra? By the way, I never got any response back from the decal company about the smaller Valkyrie decals.

Well after researching all day and good input from you all (thanks for the links and info.) I decided to try something different from what I had set out for. I'm going to try this on for feel tommorow at a local dealer. Similiar to what I was using, Nolan Cruise 1/2 helmet. http://www.hjchelmets.com/The HJC FS-2, open face cruiser. I have skin cancer and need to protect my ears and forehead a little better than the traditional skid-lid/beanie type.

I have a couple of the older HJC AC-2M's. They don't make 'em anymore.....but they still offer the exact same helmet, but now called the Vulcan-2. It's a great helmet.....feels good, sits low, has vents, etc. If the Vulcan graphics don't bother you, you can order one of those.
btw....When I ordered the last one of my AC-2M's, it was just before they stopped offerring them and they had sent me one of those FS-2's by mistake. I thought that it was butt ugly myself......fit good, just couldn't stand the thought of that thing on my head and sent it back. A little too George Jetson for my tastes.
btw.....Did ya notice that they have a "Honda" helmet now offered of the HJC web site now?
