I'm running a DURO performance 195-55.I have never heard of it before but I got it at a tire dealer in so.cal.for $75.This is my second one an the last had 25000 miles on it when I changed it.I like the 195 because there is less bump stear .I run about 35psi an It handles great up to 125 mph.Have not gon above that but am sure I could with no problem. This is my fourth car tire an now I am also on my second darkside front.I'll never go back.Got 12000 out of the rear tire on the front.Normal in 7-8000 miles.I also mount my own in the garage with tire irons by hand

Have you ever pulled a trailer with them, if so, how is the cornering? I am thinking of going to a car tire but I sometimes like to corner hard and I worry about the back loosing grip.

I've been running the Michelin 205-65-16 hydroedge @ 26 lbs for about two yrs and twenty thousand miles now. And love it. Never pulled a trailer. It did take about a thousand miles to break in. I did start off at 40 lbs of preasure and did not like it nearly as well as at the lower setting . I am at 240lbs and it is on a 97 tourer. Also did the nut-cage mod and spread the fenders while I had the tire off. Rides better than I ever imagened it would and it sticks like glue. Also have 7/32nds of tread left. comes with 10/32nds I believe. I am not known for getting great milage the original 206 from Honda lasted a whole 5k

I'm running a Toyo Proxes TPT in 205/65HR-16 on my '97 Tourer. I like it but when it comes time to replace it I will have to find another tire. Toyo discontinued it. All I did was the nut cage mod and I think I could get away without it. I have 8-10mm clearance between the swingarm and sidewall.

I'm running a Continental Vanco in 195/65-16. It's not quite as neutral as the 175/70-16 Dunlop Winter Tread ROF I had on the GL1800, but, to me, and despite the fact that it is not symmetrically siped, it has much less "personality" than the rather square GYTT I've ridden (friend's bike - not mine). I run it at 40psi cold. Anything under 36 or so and it starts to feel a bit squishy when pushed in the corners. I put it on last June with 3oz of Dyna Beads, it has 17,2XX on it, and looks like it will go another 15,000. It has served me well and never made me feel compromised, whether on the Tail of the Dragon, doing 600 miles fully loaded in the rain, or on my Iron Butt SS1000 last July.
Too bad it's discontinued and Dunlop doesn't make a Valk-sized Winter Tread ROF...
If I had to replace it today, I'd probably go General Altimax in 205/60-16.
BTW, 195 requires no nut-cage or washer mod, and the 65 series is practically the same overall diameter as the stock tire, so your RPMs don't increase per MPH. Too bad there are so few options out there.

I found some 195/65r16's but they seem to only be available in the UK. I believe this is a minivan size. Haven't found any in the US in that size. Currently running 205/60r16's on both my bikes, but would like to go narrower and taller for lest bump steer.
