Does anyone know what the speedometer ratio is on the Standard and Tourer Valk? I'm thinking 2240:60 but I'm not sure. I tried to use the search feature here but I guess I don't know the exact wording to search for because I keep coming up empty.
Thanks,
John

Hey Ferris. The why is simple. I have another Honda bike that I was thinking of putting a Valk front wheel on and I know the Sabre has a 2240:60 speedo and if the Valk also has a 2240:60 ratio (which I think it does) I won't have to buy a speedo along with a wheel to make the conversion. I can use the same speedo on the Sabre now. They both run the same size front axle and I can make my own spacers so the only question I was left with was whether or not I could use the Sabre speedo to save a little money.

I would think you would need to start by looking at the front tire size. If they are different sizes, then the count of the gears would be different if the axle is the same size.
