At the lower right of each post is a link titled Report to Moderator.  That would be the correct place to express one's concern.  I won't say I would be influenced by a barrage of complaints from one individual, but we would take seriously complaints on a post from multiple members.

It hasn't happened.

Thanks Willow, I will use that option in the future.

Right Wing , Conservatives Unite and get the Barry Freak out of the White House before we have a full blown dictator

taking really good care of us.

Leaders, Teachers, Scholars, Preachers, Church, and all who need reeducated will be first.

So Democrats you have nothing to fear, those of you who believe in taking care of all the deadbeats will be OK.

It appears to me that it is not the challenging of ideas, but what appears to be personal attacks on other members and name calling. Just my thought anyway.

I think it may go back to that WBC reference in the endless same-sex thread.

This is an open forum with few things off-limits.  We may disagree but we still have to be civil in the discourse.

I am for intelligent discussions on the forum.  Don't agree with all of the opinions expressed but they have opened my eyes to other points of view I had not considered. So, for the most part, I welcome your posts and your point of view.

But, there are things to consider in these discussions. I have found that there are many times when I could have hands down, slam dunked someone in a discussion and have refrained from doing so.  How many times could I have done this to my wife, in-laws, friends?  Can't keep count.  However, winning the battle was not worth the loss of the war so I found middle ground.

Continue posting your opinion but be open to at least looking and listening to the views and opinions of others.  Remember we are all your VRCC brothers and sisters.

And saying something and then calling it a joke isn't respectful.  Treat us with respect and we'll do the same.

That's my $.02, for whatever it's worth.

What did I do now???

I think only Al can answer that question.

I'm just guessing, but it's likely that "now" doesn't apply as someone may have read a post that had already aged.  Few people read all the threads on the board in order.  One of the unfortunate characteristics of a message board is that conversations, and your words, stay around long after the sound of your voice will have faded away.

Incidentally, on this board we have the ability to remove our own posts if we would not like them hanging around for someone to find and read , perhaps out of context, at a later date.

Maybe because some of them have been around since the beginning (Jon Proctor's VOA), and have already posted hundreds of pictures and ride reports.

All the more reasons to post since they have pictures from another board.  The VRCC members are always interested in pics by new members (or any members).

Yeah I thought about that. But I tend to think that's a little spineless. I'd prefer to either stick to what I said or (if warranted) apologize for it rather than to try to pretend I never said it.

As far as pics of my bike go, have you not seen a red and white 97 before? And I don't have any on pages I can link to. Sorry guys.  ???

Personally, I don't care about pics of bikes unless it's something unusual or in an unusual location so I guess I just don't think about it.

Ride reports? I rode today. There's your ride report from me.  Wink  Again, I'm not all that interested in reading other people's ride reports unless something unusual occurred so I don't typically post them.

Fair enough, but I did not. I joined primarily for technical info. If I could attach files then you'd get some pics but I can't (or can I?)

Yes you can.  Copy the link of the pic from where you're keeping it, Photobucket, Photostash, etc.  In your post click the button above the  Smiley.   will appear.  Paste the link between the two and you're done.  Like this:

So Derry, NH

If ya want technical info that is the technical board. Lots of folks dont come on this side because of the non valk yada yada yada  If thats what floats your boat.....

This is the sandbox.  Ya cant control the weather and ya cant control what people think of you
You can however control what you say and do.  IMHO that is usually a good place to start.

If you havent already done so, please click on regional boards and introduce yourself
to the New England Board

There are some great owners on that board with lots of technical experience and get together for some nice rides from time to time.  Had a ride with a group of them last month and had lots of fun.

Anyways I myself never get tired of seeing pics of Valkyrie motorcycles, maybe thats why I bought the calendar.

OT, but I really like to see ride reports and pics of other bikes.

I may get a case of bike envy, but also get ideas about what to add to the bike etc. Ditto with pics of rides to places I'd like to ride some day.

That, and an occasional bonus - like today. Now I know what Marty looks like! Ha!
