BF, They look well made. You can research the feedback left by other buyers from this seller. He does have a return policy which is a plus

Those are nice looking lights which would look good with the Valk headlight. I couldn't find the wattage or bulb type listed anywhere in the ebay listing. Makes me wonder if it's got 50 watt or only 5 watt lamps. Some questions to the seller may be required. If you do order a pair, let us know if you're happy with them when they get here.

I looked at those also when looking to light up the front of my IS. I wasn't sure how I'd mount them as the threaded stem looks long and i didn't want it hanging down under a bracket. I opted for a LED set up that DOES NOT light up the road ahead, but just shines brightly for others to see me. I mounted them in my radiator pods. You might luck out and have a nice bracket available or have to make one. Have to find chrome mount or paint to prevent rust. I'd ask some more of the seller about the part as the others here suggested. Peace

You can always cut the mounting bolt to length and as far as a bracket, Kury makes clamps just for this type of thing. Marty

Those housings LOOK like molded plastic. I personally wouldn't buy them.

They look good. Too bad it doesn't state what bulbs. I would avoid sealed beam units. Says "2 wire connection" but 3 are shown coming out of the light. ? If the mounting bolt is too long, get a shorter one, pretty easy to do. Ask the seller what you need to know before you purchase.

Yeah Marty..... I've seen the pics of ChrisJ's Crobra spots on his Red & White. As a matter of fact, they're on my shopping list. I plan to replace my spots on my lightbar with those Crobra spots. I was just curious about these ebay lights and thought I might put 'em on the engine guard.....as long as they're not total crap. Although, I've got a feelin' they're just plastic/low wattage cheepie lights. Still haven't heard back from the seller. Doubt I will.

Mounted a set of smaller lights similar in shape to those in the pic to the crash bars on Kim's Valk. They are the cheapie {$18.95} kind from Wal-Mart using the small hole Kury P-clamps. They are VERY bright & do use some juice. Aimed them outwards & down a bit as "critter lights" to light up the sides of the road at night. Tip them up at all & oncoming drivers WILL be blinded. Seperate switch & relayed of course. At $18.95 a pair no biggie if they crap out or get skint up. Been on a year or so now, still look good & work good.

I got a pair......unfortunately......of the lights at the top left. Problem is, they have NO up/down method of adjustment. When tightened, they are level with the mounting surface. This is ok, if you have them attached to independent clamps, or similar, that you can adjust up/down, but if you have the Cobra light bars, it WON'T allow you to adjust it, like the Cobra's do. Believe me, I've tried, even to the point of making "wedges" to aim them downward. At the very least, I'll need to make TWO, one for top, one for bottom, as just top, they work their way loose. Too much work for me, so I just ordered two new Cobras with Direct Line's 10% sale. Pisses me off, because I gave the Cobras that came on it, away! They were rusty, but at least I had them... Here's the page reference above:

BF I got a simular light from BBP with 50 watt bulbs. They aren't quite as large as the ones you are looking at but they are very bright. At the time I bought them several years ago they were about $45 ea. http://www.bigbikeparts.com/Inventory/Navision/16-104A?catalogNo=1 They are a heavy weight metal. Get extra lense glass if you order, I had a rock hit one. I also was able to replace a bulb with an outside yard light bulb (50watt) from Lowe's. Ken

Here's the page reference above: I have those same lights on my Cobra lightbar brackets. I added a visor and used stainless steel wedge washers from Fastenal to aim them. Expensive buggers (like $19 ea). Just one ea side on top. The result is that it looks good, is aimed very well, and the lights illuminate nicely (I have the 55 watt H3 ones) without blinding oncoming. Otherwise, I agree with you, don't buy them if you don't have a mount that is adjustable, they are not adjustable up/down themselves and you have to jump through the hoops above to aim them right, but if you already have them with unmovable mounts (like the Cobra lightbar), try the SS wedge washers from Fastenal: http://www.fastenal.com/web/products/detail.ex?sku=0172471

BF, I think I would consider the suggestion tropic traveler gave if the crash bar is where you want to mount them. I did consider that location but opted to go with light bar as sometimes I throw my feet over the crash bar rather than the highway pegs just to change leg positions.

Those wally world 55w platinum burners mount nicely using the front fender bolt. I use them for critter lights (aimed low and out). I run a 90/110 headlight, two 55w h3 driving lights on my Cobra lightbar, and those little 55w bullets (also h3) from wally world on the fender bolt. My bike lights the road as well, if not better, than my truck does.

mrsteve.......those 55 watt wally world lights are 55 series lights from optronics.....they are 50 watt halogens. they are very good lights, and do brighten up the road ahead very well. rivco sells the exact same light (or used to.), and he prices it at 70-80 dollars. his were made by optronics, and he too thought they were 55 watt. he even had his packaging printed to say 55 watts. what he obviously did was repack the optronics lights, and repriced them.

Still haven't heard anything from the ebay seller. The next time I'm in a Walmart, I'll have to check out their light set. However, I'm kinda diggin' those Bigbikeparts lights that Ken Tarver recommened.
