Wow! That's a shocker.
But both sides had their day in court and obviously the prosecution did not prove their case.
Nancy Grace is going to go into vapor lock. Wonder how many times she'll say "tot mom" today?

The prosecution failed to prove murder one, and manslaughter didn't "fit" their theory.

you think she's hot?? you need to go for a ride If it will make you feel better, I watched nearly the whole thing and personally think she's guilty. With the school marm look the defense team gave her, she doesn't look quite like she does in her "hot bod" contest photos. If you think sex sells, evil sex sells even more. I will follow your suggestion, though. I don't need much of an excuse to go ride.

There are a good number of murder cases where all the circumstantial evidence points to the guilty party (often a family member/close friend)..... but it does not present a high percentage conviction because proof must be beyond 'any reasonable doubt,' and it's just not there. Or rather, there are several reasonable doubts.
A good and righteous prosecutor must still bring the case if he is convinced of guilt, knowing he is looking at no better than a 50/50 outcome. That is our system, and if you are ever charged, guilty or innocent, you will be glad for that system.
I did not follow this case closely so I cannot say the prosecution failed (like for OJ)..... some cases must be brought despite the lack of solid evidence. I personally think that prosecutors offices are tax dollars well spent..... most all the time.

Mrs. Bonzo (Patty) followed every day. She is shocked. All the evidence was circumstancial. Kind of hard to hang some one on that kind of evidence. What a shame that a Babies death goes unaccountable.

From my own personal experience, I have served on 5 juries and I hope and pray that I am NEVER judged by my peers. There are always those on a jury that are emotional, close minded, do not hear what is said in the court room, and those who are easily swayed by a more forceful juror. Because of the afore mentioned observations, I fully expected a guilty verdict, no matter what facts were presented in the court room. I think that all the "experts" on TV were taking bets on when the execution was to be held. I did not hear enough of the testimony to make a decision one way or the other, so I really had no opinion on the outcome...JTL

Nah. You'd have to be pretty sick in the head to find someone who murders their own child attractive. There's garden variety "evil" and then there's unthinkable evil. This is the latter.

Where did I say that I don't think there will be a market for Casey Anthony porn? I'm just disagreeing with the idea that she's "hot" or "attractive". But then I have standards. A better companion would be O.J. What Michael Vick did was deplorable, but not on the level of killing a small child.

If you are just now realizing the system is broken,I'll bet you are surprised every time a coin toss turns up tails. The OJ Simpson jury pretty much destroyed any faith in the justice system. Any leftover credibility was shot when Martha Stuart was railroaded. If by some chance I'm ever accused of a crime, I hope my jury is more objective than the citizens who have been posting on the Internet about the decision. You can almost smell the torches and see the pitchforks.

Living in the Orlando area, this has been a real PITA. Every fool TV station was covering it, plus all the those stations with national affiliation. You couldn't get a decent program for the last month or more. As for Casey, she most likely will walk....having four charges of misdemeanor pulling a max of a year each and having spent over three years locked up already. Kinda pathetic when all added up, but....the one thing the prosecution couldn't prove is how Caylee died. I heard it numerous times locally....that will probably be her out. Apparently it was, because when summed up with the circumstantial evidence, it gave that evidence less credence. If they could have proven how she died, then the circumstantial aspect merely goes to support it, regardless how gray it may have been in some respects.
I'm just glad it's not me. She has to live with whatever was done for the rest of her life....assuming she's actually guilty.

John speaks the truth!!! SOOOOOOOOOO sick of the total domination on all forms of the Orlando media that "The Case Against Casey" has had over the last 3 years. WESH Channel 2, the local NBC affiliate has gone damn near 24-7 Casey Anthony. I'm surprised Nancy Grace's head didn't explode when the "not guilty" verdict was announced. A sick bunch the Anthonys are, liars all. Casey knows what happened to her daughter & will have to live with it the rest of her life. I doubt it will bother her much..

There must be harsh enough consequences to discourage such behavior and the rest of them that are not discouraged enough are too numerous to waste time 'rehabilitating'. He only did his time because he was not given an option,he should have been giving the same choice (NONE) in front of a firing squad.

I am hoping you are just showing your disgust with some aspects of our legal system that is certainly less than perfect. On the other hand saying that he should have been in front of a firing squad and that you would "shoot him on sight" is irresponsible and suggestive of the type of vigilante justice that threatens law abiding peoples' 2nd amendment rights. Plus it is just wrong. I am giving you the benefit of the doubt that you are just voicing your displeasure with Michael Vick's activities and respect your opinion ( I certainly agree that he was an a-hole). And that you are expressing that opinion with hyperbole and exaggeration. If you truly believe such crap you are exactly the kind of person who should not be allowed to have firearms.

I'm not so sure that she actually murdered her child. I think it more plausible that the child suffered from some kind of accident (possibly the pool or something else just as deadly to a little child) and that she freaked out and tried to cover it up. She's a proven liar..... and she tried to lie her way out of being negligent in the death of her daughter. Either way, guilty by murder, or guilty by trying to cover up the accidental death of her child....she's still dispicable and pure evil. btw........Who the hell is the father.....or does Casey even know? Maybe I've missed it, but I've never heard that little bit of evidence. All of that said, if I'd been on that jury, it'd have been a hung jury for sure.......because if that bitch didn't do it, then who the hell did?.

I admit poor choice of words. I personally will not shoot him on sight and have not done such to the hundreds of others I have crossed paths with that are just as deserving of being extinguished for the good of society. I have not and will not stoop to vigilante methods because the 50/50 odds of getting away with it are not good enough for me. Of course if there is no confession or video of the act the odds would be more like 75/25 in favor that I walk ! If there were an open season and I could buy a Micheal Vick tag...I am just deranged enough to tie him to the hood and drive thru' town, park at the local pub and brag about my trophy.

I watched most of it over the weekend baby sitting a new pup, while I think she is guilty the prosecuter never proved with physical evidence that Caylee did it and the defence lawyer shot the case so full of holes I would of ruled the same way. What I found sickening is after the ruling the way the prosecuting team and Sheriff's department patted them selves on the back saying what a great job they did.

Maybe we'll never know what really happened, but Casey Anthony definitely was involved in the death of Caylee.
As much as the verdict disgusts me, our judicial system worked to the best of it's intent. Our Founding Fathers set up this system to counteract the abuses of King George's judicial system.
No system is perfect.
In the end, there will be justice served.

What bothers me about her explanation is that were I in her shoes, if my little girl were to die I would be so consumed with grief that covering it up would be the last thing on my mind. Unless of course the death were planned or expected. Or unless you're a cold, unfeeling sociopath. No, she's a monster who should be removed from society. Sterilized at minimum.

While I agree that our system is not perfect, this trial, the OJ trial, the state of our economy, and many other examples prove that our government officials are NOT the best, or not even good, at what they have been elected/hired to do. This could be for many reasons. One reason that stands out in my mind is that public serice is not where the money is (until they figure out how to abuse and corrupt the system).
We need much better prosecuters or we're gonna see more and more murderers walk.
