Can anyone furnish me with a part number for the rubber diahfram insidethe top cover of a carburater. I cannot identify it by looking at the parts fiche. Hoser

Update on my request, I no longer need that item, anybody else taken the top off a carb and found this? I even have some spares, and I fixed it! Thanks for finding the diaphram though.  Hoser

yep, seen it before. You must be twisting the throttle way too hard....  Metal fatigue is the only explanation. Someone may have kinked it a bit during re-install and it failed at that point. A bit cheaper fix. As far as the diaphrams, I'm glad I picked up a spare set of carbs quite a few years ago. Paid what 2 diaphragms now cost for everything, $150.

I had IS springs in it, too many power shifts at redline, I assume. Very happy to get out of it for cheap. In fact I think it's time for my happy dance.  Hoser

Hoser, Is that the cause of your problems? If that's it, and you didn't tare into those carbs yet, I'd for sure be doing the happy dance  It should run like a scalded dog now, I'm sure those carbs are cleaner with the cocktails you've run through them. -Doug
