That was a great day.  Man, I didn't have it long but I remember my Interstate well.  Wish I could print money like Joe and have one of each.  Oh well.

Stanley, I think we'll be fine as long as we stay out of the Days Inn in Knoxville! Grin

Shoot D00ds, if we all get to Maggie Valley early enough, we can all ride together out of there on Saturday...

Joe, I can meet you at the north end pull over.  From there we can either ride the Dragon or head to Foothills Pky.  We can figure out a time as the ride gets closer.
Let me know what works for you.

A couple of questions....how long does it take to get to the top side of the Dragon.

Mike, If I leave Maggie Valley at 8:30 where and when could I meet you.

Or, I could ride up to Knoxville Friday night and ride in with you guy.  I'm assuming you have a scenic ride planned for Saturday.  Pick up Hubcap, ride all day, and hit the motel around dinner time.

What do you think?

In terms of "meeting in the middle"... google sez:... it take me about 2.5 hours to get to Maggie Valley.
It takes about 2.5 hours to get to Maggie Valley from Clinton, Tn... but it takes about 3.5 hours to get to
Maggie Valley from Atlanta...

So, meeting at Maggie Valley isn't quite optimal for Paul, so maybe this wouldn't work, but I've
been daydreaming about this:

http://tinyurl.com/3gfdkth         <--------- route out of Maggie Valley

It would bring us past these places:

... and then we'd be "stuck" in the middle of all those good roads near Trust and Hot Springs....

There's a little slog through Canton, but it is a small town, and passing by the big paper mill is kind of cool
I think (it didn't stink any of the times I passed by  Smiley )...

Unless someone knows fun roads from there back to Maggie Valley, we might be "forced" to use
215 and the BRP to get back...

I'll meet up wherever is good for everyone, this is just a suggestion...

Too bad you're not going this weekend.  The Blue Angels are putting on their hometown airshow this weekend.  They're doing their airshow today and tomorrow at 2 p.m. above Pensacola Beach.

We'll figure something out as time gets closer.  Mike, how long does it take you to get to Maggie Valley?  Those are some sweet roads in the pics.

Talked to Duffy yesterday and he's riding in with me.  Pretty sure my buddy Chris with the Harley is coming to.  I blocked off two doubles so we have an open space.

Mike and Joe, seems like your coming from different directions so we will just wait in Maggie Valley Saturday morning and all ride together.  How early do you think you can get there?
