I was locked on a destination and riding through Tennesse on I-40 Wednesday. I passed a few Goldwings and in the front was a red/black IS.  I was on the loaded down silver with red flamed 97. Oh yeah, I had an old army surplus duffle bag across the back seat.  Made it safely to Charlotte and started my new job today.

You may have seen some folks heading to Wing Ding in Knoxville,  About 15,000 bikes are supposed to show up for this event.

Was heading south on I75 when I saw a red/black Interstate heading North right into the rain I was leaving. Guessed he was heading home after the Wing Ding.......

That would probably be B. Did a lot of backroads Monday & Tuesday. Was headed to ground zero with some of my Illinios GW buddies. We based out of Powell.
Not impressed with Wing Ding but had a blast in your (Tennesee) backyard! AWESOME RIDING!

Now the commentary...
After one Wing Ding I don't know if I'll go back. If i do, it will probably be one-day late in the week like other VRCC folks .
I guess its Not my thing ... And I was very disappointed in Mother-Honda. Went to Demo a Wing and was told "we're fully booked" as I stood there looking at four of them. When I asked if I could schedule a time for the next day I was told "not til 8am tomorrow." through the grapevine I hear the line starts about 6am. There were other issues but that was one that really "grinds my gears" (to quote the great Peter Griffin).... As I posted on my facebook... It led to an 80 mile Norris Dam loop on my Made in USA VALKYRIE when they wouldn't let me test their Made in Japan "TuperWing!"

I'll keep my Fat Lady, Thank You

Cool B, I really like the red/black IS.

Finnaly got some pics of the take-off 1386 miles in 2 days. Left Amarilo 8 am Tuesday, spent night in Forrest City AR. Took off at 7 am and got into Charlotte at 1 am after a hour delay and detour in Ashville. Nothing like riding in dark, unknown winding roads, and occasional rain, after Ashville.
I know it would not have taken that long, but my hiny was sore and the heat about did me in on Tuesday. So Wednesday was full of rest stops.

Guess I am ready!

Fell like I forgot something!

Oh yeah, the goodbye kiss.

Now I can go!

Wednesday, July 6th, I was headed east on I-40. Man, that is a long, long, long way from end to end. Sorry I cannot remember where I saw them. Pretty sure it was late in the afternoon and east of Knoxville.
