Didn't want to hijack any more of Deckerjr's overheating thread.

My temperature light is coming on regularly, and most often when
it should not be on. It would appear to be that Indicator module.

My question is, does this module control the fans?, it should'nt
ought to, but there'd be a real problem if it did.

The $70 for this module is just a little hard to take right now.

So if it's not controlling the fans, I'll just live with the light for now.

Oh, I can hold onto the rad cap, and the rad itself, when the
idiot light is on. The coolant mix is correct, good colour,
no trapped bubbles.

Before I changed out my indicator module, I put up with the 'false' hot light for two years (side by side, with another Valk, using a remote thermometer proved that my bike was within a few degrees of the other bike, even when my temp light was on, and his wasn't)...  My fan ran, when necessary, but I did the fix to avoid a more serious issue, if I ever really did over heat.

Switch at the bottom left side of radiator puts fan to ground and it runs. I wired my to a toggle switch so I can kick it on ahead of time in heavy traffic. It still retains the auto mode too.

I basically did the same thing because Patriot Guard Mission escorts from the funeral home/church to the cemetery can be really slow and I didn't want Sandman overheating in our Southern heat and humidity.  I'm using one of the switches in the Kury switchbox I mounted on the clutch master cylinder.  Haven't done it to my I/S yet but I will.

I had a switch on the I/S that I use for my gerbin gloves and jacket liner. I didn't figure I'ld need it during summer months so I made it dual purpose, fan it hot months, gerbins in cold months.
