I just received this and have not Checked it out with Snopes, but I signed up anyway!

The NRA is giving FREE 1-yr memberships to everyone who wants to join.
They are trying to build up their membership to fight pending
Legislation that impacts our right to keep and bear arms.

It is very important that anti-gun congressmen see how many people they
will have to fight to get their legislation through.

https://www.nrahq.org/nrabonus/accept-membership.asp

PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!!

also a bit strange they are offereing a "special deal" for our Militrary, offering them a free membership(apparently running at the same time as this offer)? It almost....almost...seems kind of conflicting or fishy? But ...i googled on it and found several threads talking about it. So far, i have NOT found any proof it is not legit? So far...........

still....i could undertand someone being a bit leery of giving the contact info.....

but at least it is NOT asking for SSN, credit card info, etc.

I'll be kind of watching this for a bit.........

oh, I'm a Life NRA member, so no joining or renewal needed here  cooldude

??? Seems to me that an address that includes "nrahq" (National Rifle Assoc Head Quarters) is pretty legitimate.  If you take the address: https://www.nrahq.org/nrabonus/accept-membership.asp and cut it back to https://www.nrahq.org/ , you end up at the NRA main site.  Oh well, all of the information they require is already available to anyone, so what's the harm.

If you start at NRA.COM you can click the join button which takes you to the same NRAHQ.ORG site to sign up.

I just could not find the free trial on that site.

The link works now, and there is a banner on the top of the form telling of the 1 year free membership. I just re-joined after about 15 a year vacation,
