Just got to Inuvik via Ft Nelson/Whitehorse/Dawson City.  Highest price paid was $1.69 per liter at Eagle Plains,  Dawson is cheaper than the junction to Inuvik.  Best deal in Whitehorse was downtown at the SuperStore at $1.21/L.  Had my pickup as came up for work but lots of bikes on the roads.

The Alaska highway from Ft St John to Ft Nelson has lots of chip sealing going on which means lots of rock chips flying around.

Good motel in Ft Nelson right by the IGA food store on the main highway.  relatively new, clean & quiet.  $90.00 for a queen bed.

Cheap working man's hotel in Whitehorse is the Casa Loma on the highway on the north side of town near Super A Foods and gas bar - they have a pub there as well so it is handy for that. It ain't the Ritz but it was relatively clean and quiet. $85

Stayed at the Bonanza in Dawson - just before town on the south end - $160 with taxes - rooms fill up early so you may want to book ahead.
