My Lady and I are on vacation in Pensacola and The Navy's Blue Angels are doing their air show on the beach. Show starts a 2pm. I am about 12 miles from the beach, but I decide to leave a little early at 10am just to be safe. A few miles down the road I come to a stop. Traffic backed up 8 miles already. No big deal right? Wrong! I was about a mile from the 3 mile bridge that crosses the bay and it took about 30 minutes to get there. I saw bicycles in the bike lane going across. I'm a bike right? So away I went in the bicycle lane. Good move. Got a good jump now just about 4 miles away. The next mile took 1 hr. My lady had been idling all that time in the worst traffic jam I had ever been in. It was nearing 100 degrees and it happened. The coolant light came on. No big deal and I was not surprised. I was in a good spot to pull off and give my clutch hand take a break. I still had almost 2 hrs. to get there. Took about a 20 min. break and got back in line. Traffic was even slower. I was afraid she was going to overheat again so I got the bright idea that I would just shut her down when stopped and listen to the radio. Not such a good idea. After about the 5th time my battery was to low to fire her off. Oh No! I pushed her to the side and took about a 10 min. break and she fired up. With the battery being so low the fan was probably not turning fast enough and she soon overheated again. I found a good place to park her and took off walking. It was 1pm. I walked for a solid hr. passing all the stopped cars and made the airshow on time. I walk back and she fired right up and we went and had oysters and seafood dinner. You see she knew what she was doing. If she had not of overheated I would of missed the airshow. Moral of the story. Listen to your woman. She ussually knows whats best for you.
My lady now has a name. 'Blue Angel'
