Does anyone know if there is a recall, service bulletin or warrenty on this known issue? I have a 99 Interstate..

From the most common Valk problems list>> "#13  Gas Cap Leaking Fumes From Key Hole.  Does your garage smell like gas? It could be the gas cap.  Honda has replaced caps with this condition under warranty."

Thanks, Pete..

I gain some relief from the smell particularly in hot weather by opening the cap for a few seconds before putting the bike in the garage.

I don't know of any bike where you will not smell gas emitting some fumes from the fill cap and/or the overflow and/or the vent piping.

Especially on a hot day when the tank has been cooking in the sun.

Shake the bike back and forth a few times and you will certainly smell the gasoline.

I never considered that a problem myself, just part of owning a motorcycle.
