Hello all,

Just moved back to South Dakota from West Virginia and am getting to feel PMS (parked motorcycle syndrome) big time.  Sad In my case that it is NMS (no motorcycle syndrom) at the present.  Will be looking for a Valkyrie I/S after we finally get settled in our new house.  My son-in-law has a 99 Valk I/S (Green/Silver) and I'm sooooooo jealous.  So, I'll be looking at the classified section pretty hard in the upcoming months for a Blue/Silver I/S.  Last couple of rides:  02 Goldwing (Stream Silver Metallic); 07 Goldwing (Dark Orange Metallic).  If I can't find the right I/S, I guess I'll have to go back to a Wing.   cooldude  It is a Honda after all.   cooldude Ride safe and ride often.

Welcome and if willing to get a green and silver, SmokinJoe has a beauty that looks like a rolling Honda Accesories display with stuff hard or impossible to find. Again welcome to the insanity......

Thanks Misunderstood, appreciate the welcome.  SmokingJoe's ride is indeed a beauty, and I'll be looking at purchasing bikes in Aug or Sept timeframe.  Maybe Green/Silver is in something I should look at.  But I really love the Blue/Silver setup.  However, Red/Black looks good too.  We'll just have to wait and see what is available when I'm ready to pull the plug on one.  I do have to get Momma happy by fixin up the new place before I can even think about heading out of town to pick up another ride.  You know the saying...if Momma ain't happy...ta da ta da ta da.  Anyway, thanks again and we'll be posting once in a while...mainly looking for now.   cooldude cooldude

Welcome to the asylum SilverHawk!  I have a green/silver IS and love it.  It was my brother's bike and I'll never part with it.  I really like the 97 red and white tourer....  We all have different likes and that is what makes it fun.

There will be a blue/silver available when you are ready.  There are good ones to be had about every 3-4 weeks on Craigslist/Ebay.

Again, welcome.   You will learn a great deal from reading on this site.  Don't forget to check out the "ShopTalk" section.  It's linked in yellow up at the top, depending on your browser colors.

PS  Don't hesitate to ask questions if need help.

Hay Jimmyt...thanks for the information and the very nice welcome.  I actually do like the Blue/Silver bestest, but when I am ready I'll make sure to check out all the different I/S bikes available.  After all, they are all Valkyries and that is what I would really like to have.  cooldude I do still have a soft spot for my Goldwings though.   angel  I have been looking at the ShopTalk section already and there appears to be a ton of information available to riders here.  Again thanks and remember to ride often and safely.   coolsmiley  Get a nice ride in for me when you can.   Grin

Well, I ride to work most days here lately.  We haven't had ANY significant rain here in the South part of Houston since Jan. 29.  I didn't ride a couple of weeks ago, because the weather guesser forcasted 40% chance...  didn't even come close.

BTW, There is a HUGE gathering of Valkyries up in Bellaire, MI at the end of July.  I'll be going up there with a bunch of other TEXANS for the party.  There should be around 300 Valks in one spot for about 5 days straight.

Welcome!  I hope to get to ride with you some day, whether on a Valk, Wing, HD, whatever.

Welcome!  I live about 2-3 hours north of you, in SW ND.  Nugz is in Sturgis.  I think we need to get an all-Dakota ride together in the hills!

When you get your IS Inzane is a great place to go. Also, the VOAI will be having its reunion next year, probably back in Keystone, SD.  Not sure where Inzane will be next year yet.  I hope to make both again next year.

Thanks for the info fellas.  As far as Dakota Riders, my son-in-law is here in Rapid City and rides a '99 Green/Silver Interstate.  I am sure he would love to get in on that action riding as well.  He does have one problem though, it is called WORK (that ugly four letter word), and that would prevent him from getting out on short notice.  Undecided  I'm looking for that special Valk and hope to find it sooner rather than later.  So for now.....I'm looking!!  coolsmiley

P.S. -- What is VOAI.  Is it something like GWRRA??

Valkyrie Owners Association International, the original Valkyrie Club.  Smaller than the VRCC. Google it. A number of us belong to both, I like them both.
