I just got done rebuilding my front end of my 99 I/S. What weight oil do most of you use? Honda says SS 8, but is 8 the weight?
  Thanks,
   Dean..

I went with the stock weight but I've heard lots of positive reviews from people who went with 15w.

I just replaced seals as well in mine... I went with SS8... works great for me... although I want to upgrade to progressive springs but that will be another time...

I used 15w when I installed the 6 degree triple tree w/fork extensions, Progressive springs, and all new seals.  It's a bit stiffer than I'd like, but I think that's because of the fork extensions preloading the springs.  This winter I'll be going to a lighter oil to see if it helps soften it up some.

When I had the forks of my Tourer rebuilt with Progressive springs, 8 weight was used and I am perfectly happy with it.

SS8 is equal or close to a 10W oil
