Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

On a road less traveled.

Hey Boys and Girls,

just a short note to let you know that the wife and I made it back from our jaunt accross the country, we left VA accross Route 50 to Utah and then south to AZ and from there back via Old Route 66 (at least as much that was possible). If there is interest I will post a few pic's from along the way once I get them off my camera chip.
The ride was awesome, but for anyone that lives in Kansas I feel sorry for you, that place is about as flat as it gets and does the wind ever stop blowing? I was worried about doing 5000 miles on my tires in fear of centerlining them, but I rode the entire state of Kansas on the left side, even though I was going straight  uglystupid2
We had a great time even with some difficulties on the bike, on the Grand Canyon I thought I broke the head gasket but it did not, it was strange, we rode from Moab to the Grand Canyon riding in 110 degree temps uglystupid2 all the way there and that night the temps dropped to 29  crazy2 on the Canyon, so when I started the Valk the next morning and rode a quick 45 seconds to the gas station my wife noted that we were leaking something, so when I looked it was radiator fluid from the left fron side of the head gasked, well no shop, not a bad leak, lets see what happens when the engine gets warm, amazingly it sealed itself and never leaked again, had the shop check it last week and there was nothing wrong with it  Shocked, presumtually it was the extreme temp difference that caused it.  Shocked
Well enough, Pictures to follow.

Yuri

Sounds like a fun trip! Lookig for pictures too. Just for reference, the leak was probably the clamp on the top rad hose at the thermostat. Hard to get at, but can be done without removing everything. I had mine leak in the cold, and the fluid runs out right where you said. cooldude
